I've been to so many different Chinese and other Asian restaurants, so I honestly have a bit of a high standard. But first the good since I liked my experience over all. The staff was very friendly and could explain items on the menu. The food was good and was in fairly large portions. I had the hot and spicy chicken which came with fried rice and an egg roll. My family members all also liked their choices (they had actually brought me and were suggesting we come here for dinner since they had been and liked the food). The menu is very large and has many options although the drink options seemed to be limited as you choose a bottled drink from the cooler on your way in to the tables (mostly sodas). To be totally honest the atmosphere, although not bad, is a bit bare and simple. The bowels the food is served in for sit in dining is the same bowls the food would be in for take out. Not really important as the food was still good, just something to note. The egg rolls were served on paper plates, again though, not really a problem, the egg roll was still good, just noting it. Overall it was a pleasant dinner and good food. I would go back and would also recommend...
Read moreWindber Wok Windber Wok is not a restaurant. The most You can call it is a cafeteria, Actually it is more of a take out place. There is no service. Decor is OK. When You enter, you have to order first and then you can go in and sit. They will bring the food to you. The prices are more like other local Chinese Restaurants or higher. Prices are much higher as compared to similar Take-out places in NJ, Philadelphia or Baltimore. The quality of food is Ok but nothing great. There is no option of white rice v/s fried rice. You have to pay $3 extra if you want fried rice. Amount of white rice you get is also limited. Water is only available in bottles and of course you have to pay for it unlike some restaurants in Philly or New Jersey where cold bottles of tap/filtered water are on the house. You do not get the choice of drinking tap water. They do not have Beer or wine and they do not allow you to bring your own. It is a new place so a lot of people want to try it but food is still better in other local...
Read moreBrought my family here for Mother's day. Disappointing to say the least. Upon entering you order immediately at the counter. Our bill was rung up and I handed her my debit card. She ran it then decided that she hadn't charged me enough. (57$ for 2 adults and 3 children.) So to make up the difference I had to add more money in the tip line of the receipt. No fountain drinks- sodas are $1.75 each. Portions aren't as big as other places around here. Our rice was served on paper plates and our food was served on plastic take-out trays. The food itself wasn't bad but I unfortunately found a hair in my beef which is absolutely awful. I did not confront the workers because they were waiting on others and didn't want to embarrass the cashier. After leaving and talking with my teenage son he also told me he found a hair as well. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning. Better places around to get Chinese from and have never found hair in my food with far...
