We went this year in October. we had a lot of activity. I even brought Martha home with me, not willingly. I started receiving a terrible headache on the drive home oh, but I was still able to drive and get to my destination . When I got home I had a headache so bad. I couldn't open my eyes, and I was sick all day through the night. I have never been this kind of sickly before, and it clicked, maybe I brought something home with me. maybe something attached to me from the hotel. I am an empath and a sensitive . I don't practice it or use it like I should . I called my friend Jen, that we went with, and told her how sick I was and what is happening to me. And then Martha kept coming to my mind. Jen researched and called Blair,, yes there was a Martha at the hotel. And she was decapitated while watching fireworks. What an experience . I sent Martha home back to the Hotel with a little sage and a blessing and a request to leave my body and a promise I will see her again and tell her story. We didn't know the story about Martha because we were, unfortunately, not given the tour that is normally given. Blair being busy. But we love the place and are going back next year. Looking forward to a tour next year and the stories that surround this place. I never in my life had experiences like this at this. Blair has done an awesome job...
Read moreI had to tap okay because I haven't been inside the building since before COVID. What I can tell you is an area in front is a lovely little park where you can play with your children across from Mimo's pizza and Bella's pizza, both having delicious foods besides just pizza from family run local businesses, take in or eat in. We had outdoor lunches there a few times. There is a memorial stone with veteran's names from our little community who served to protect our country. There is a pavilion, decorated beautifully for Christmas, where you can walk around, sit down and enjoy the scenery. The Midway had some pretty awesome Halloween activities that invite the whole community and anyone who wants to join in the fun. During times around holidays, there can be performers and vendors. It's also a lovely place to sit and wait for opening concerts across from the old Arcadia theater. Standing across the street, wonderful photos are taken showing the beauty of the decorations. It's like a Norman Rockwell painting during Christmas, small town life! It's so lovely you can make a Christmas Card from the photos you take. I hope you get a chance...

You just got showed to your room from the proprietor of the place a Mr. Blair Murphy, you hear some footprints in the hallways a rhythmic cadence marching it’s getting louder. You fully expect a knock on your door, just to check and make sure everything is to your satisfaction. That knock never happens instead you open the door and see that no one is there. It makes you know that it has a past, and now that you made it through the first night you are drawn. It is now your favorite escape. Any and every excuse to stay. I will always...
