This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I went to Luppoleto multiple times during past couple of years and my experience was consistent every time.
The brewery has one big indoor space and a small outdoor patio. There is no food except snacks inside, but I've always seen a new food truck during every visit. The brewery has a ton of events outlined on their website with my favorite being a board game night (collaboration with House of Books and Games in Windsor). It might get a bit noisy inside during the evening, but nothing too bad.
The beers are the gem of this brewery. It has a strong focus on European styles which I appreciate, as most of the breweries prefer to brew "safe" styles like IPAs. There are around 12 taps open and you can find a variety of styles there: Pilsners, Marzens, Stouts and Sours. I've tried every single offering on tap through my visits and every beer is solid. Even the styles I usually don't enjoy are crafted here with an amazing taste. It is hard to recommend anything in particular, because everything is tasty. But still, my favorites through the years were Biscotto Robusto (Vienna Lager) and Koppar Rustica (Smoked beer). Note, that you cannot order beer flights, but have an option of a short pour.
I really recommend checking this brewery out if you're into craft beer in general or into European styles...
Read moreI went here tonight with my best friend, we sampled 5 of the 6 beers on tap, every single one was out of this world. Every beer had a nice complex finish, they felt complete and not rushed. The staff was beyond friendly, I recommend everyone to swing by and have one of the best craft beers around. We will be returning soon!
2021 Update! This is still the best place to come for top quality craft beer 🍻 There are always new beers coming on tap, the environment is very welcoming and warm. On nights where there is live music it is an awesome experience.
2022 Update! The good times just keep rolling on 🥳🥳 Luppoleto's is still my #1 stop for refreshing beer. Everything has robust flavors and each new beer continues to impress! We stopped in with a few of our friends, and there was something for everyone! The ambiance makes the area warm and inviting while being laid back and relaxing. Very much worth the visit if you are looking for a great place to enjoy great...
Read moreWindsor Locks has a new gem of a business in town! Luppoleto Brewing Co. is tucked into the strip mall along the river in WL. While I was living in EW, I’d come across the bridge and enjoy the tastiest beer around. This brewing co has a strong presence in the community. They were coming off a community bike ride the day I was in. A group of women were setting up a birthday party, so it’s a great open space for parties/gatherings. They have nice long communal tables for large groups. The beer? The beer is delicious! They have a nice variety of flavor profiles. They have a program where you can buy a Veteran a beer! I love the way this brewing company supports our Heroes. You can tell the owners love what they do! I especially enjoyed the delicious food trucks, and trivia night really packs them in! If you like board games, they have an unrivaled selection! I’ve since moved out of state, but when I’m back visiting, I will for sure stop in for a...
