As a mother of four children—three of whom are on the autism spectrum—pizza night is a big deal in our home. It’s one of the few meals that brings everyone together with excitement. Unfortunately, our recent experience with this Pizza Hut location was deeply upsetting and unacceptable.
This store no longer uses in-house delivery drivers and instead delivers through DoorDash. When our order arrived, the pizza was completely dismantled, inedible, and a huge disappointment to my kids. For children on the spectrum, routines and expectations matter. That pizza was something they were truly looking forward to, and when it came ruined, it triggered a meltdown that was incredibly difficult to manage as a parent.
Because it was late and the store was already closed, I called the next morning to explain the situation and ask for a refund. I spoke with a manager named Chris who was dismissive and unprofessional. He told me it wasn’t his problem and that I should have called the night before—even though I explained that I couldn’t reach anyone then. He hung up on me not once, but twice, when I tried to calmly explain and even offered to show proof of the order and condition of the food.
I went to the store in person, hoping for a more civil conversation. Yes, I was passionate and firm—because being dismissed and disrespected isn’t right. I simply said, “You don’t hang up on customers, especially when they’re calmly trying to resolve an issue.” Instead of resolving the problem, Chris made an unnecessary comment referring to “you people,” which I took as racially charged and completely inappropriate. He then called the police on me, even though I was sitting calmly, not causing any disturbance. Another customer witnessed everything and even tried to step in, but Chris was rude to him as well.
Ultimately, the police helped facilitate the refund—but the experience was humiliating and unnecessary. I’m writing this not just for myself, but for anyone who expects basic respect when something goes wrong with a paid order. Chris should not be in a customer service or management position, and I will also be reporting this to Pizza Hut corporate.
Our children deserve better. Customers deserve better. And no one should be treated the way I...
Read moreWe used to order from here quite a bit, but last nights confirmed that we will no longer be doing so. I've given the benefit of a doubt and chalked up previous experiences as a one-off, but this one required my first restaurant review I've ever thought about writing. Ordered a simple large stuffed crust pizza, nothing special. When picked up, the stuffing from the stuff crust had exploded in multiple areas outside of "the crust", but the thing that brought about this review was the stupid sauce. Its a pizza people....doesn't take much to make it one. Put some sauce on the thing, just don't wave the spoon over the crust and call it quits. It was like eating a saltine with a hint of cheese. I had added jalapeno's to this one in particular, and this large scale soup cracker had approximately 12 jalapeno pieces on the entire thing. You pay for something, you'd like to actually be able to taste it and get something close to what its supposed to be. Worse pizza I've ever had. This one made Red Baron frozen pizza look like a gourmet pie straight out of the oven in NYC. I had also added onions and mushrooms, and the pictures I've attached will show that these were lacking in the portion area as well. It used to be that Pizza Hut was a fail safe.....always quick, good quality and reliable, but no longer the case. At least for this store and the dream team working behind...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible is an understatement. First time we ordered from them they forgot our soda we ordered. We left it go didn't feel that it was a huge deal. Second time we order delivery again. We waited an hour, so my husband called to see what is taking so long. Someone answered then hung up on him. So he called back and they wouldn't answer. So I decided to call. They answered right away. I told them my husband just called and you hung up on him. No apology nothing. Said what do you need. Very rude. Asked him how much longer will it take for our pizza delivery. They told me and we got off the phone. They finally arrived and of course once again no soda. So I said this time I'm not going let it go. So I called and asked to speak to a manager. The same guy answered. He said why do you need a manager? I told him can I please speak to a manager. He then says that I'm the manager. I asked his name he said Andrew. Then he hung up on me. I called back 3 times and they wouldn't answer. This is ridiculous I don't know how there still in business. I then decided to call a different pizza hut in the area . I spoke with the manager from there store. She didn't seem surprised. Said she'll get ahold of the area manager and get back to me. Of course nothing no one has reached out to us. Worst ...
