If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute disgrace to Mexican cuisine. I walked in hopeful—after all, the reviews painted a picture of flavor, authenticity, and quality. What I got instead was bland, soggy, and downright depressing.
Let’s start with the chips and salsa. The chips tasted like they came out of a bag that had been left open for a week, and the salsa was a watery mix of tomatoes and sadness. The enchiladas? Mushy tortillas drowning in some kind of canned-tasting sauce with a texture that can only be described as “school lunch tray.” The rice was somehow both dry and sticky, and the beans were a cold, flavorless paste that made me question every life decision that led me to that table.
And don’t get me started on the “house margarita.” I’ve had better flavor from a Capri Sun left in the freezer too long.
I don’t know who’s out here giving this place five stars, but either they’ve never had real Mexican food in their lives, or they’ve confused “tasting nothing” with “tasting traditional.” If you’ve ever been to an actual hole-in-the-wall joint run by abuelitas who know what they’re doing, you’ll feel personally offended by this establishment.
Save your money. Go home. Make a quesadilla and sprinkle it...
Read moreI’m done with this place. You can order the same thing every time at the same time of day, but will pay something different each time. You never get what you order. I ordered no chorizo on my Randy #3, but it came with chorizo. Another at the table ordered extra cheese on their Randy #3, and it had less cheese than mine. We asked for an extra bowl, never got it. Got brought a soft shell taco for my daughter. I saw it was wrapped like the soft shell and asked if it was hard and was told yes. But of course upon unwrapping it, it was soft shell. The salsa is always watery and no flavor just hot. There’s always a random 99 cent or $1.50 charge or two on your bill for no reason. Oh, and they charge $1.79 for tap water!?!?! We had 6 people. One was a two year old, two more were children and was charged a gratuity. Just go to Hamilton to Los Amigos or Elders if you want good food and...
Read moreWe had a good meal that we ate there and then added a LARGE To-Go order that we were eating the next day. We spent $114.00 on the order. We live out of town and when we got home we just put the food in the refrigerator so it would be ready the next day. We opened the To-Go order today and we’re missing 2 tacos and a chalupa . We called the restaurant and spoke to Al(the owner) and was told that we were supposed to check everything yesterday when we got the food. We asked if we could pick-up 2 tacos and a chalupa and was told “Yes, if you pay for it!” So here we are with a $114 order missing several pieces and they REFUSED to replace it! He said they have a sign that states replacements are done on the day you order it. We have never seen a sign and have been there many times. We will never go here again, we will go down to the other Mexican food place just down the...
