9.14.23-An update, after the owner David decided to comment on my review. It's unbelievable what he has been able to do and say about my family, and now realize more than ever he is definitely not someone to ever be dealt with. Very unprofessional on his part especially being one the the owners, and continues to provoke people to comment and/or harass us, As you will see by his comment below. He is now telling everyone on our google review to go to his Facebook page and see why we wrote a bad review. I only wrote the review to let everyone know to be careful if they were to go there he might not might be professional if your not a happy customer or complain about not getting what you expected. The worst part is he is not even totally being honest, just tell the truth and let people decide for themselves. After my initial review and he had commented on it I replied and tried to explain in detail what had actually happened and of course my review and comment have been deleted, and sort of made up his own with partial truth, the only thing he did admit to was that he did swear to me as i stated in my review. And just so you know it was not just because of one of the many items we had ordered for dinner, (and I do have a copy of my receipt to prove it), but it was because two of the dinner platters we ordered did not come with the sides that were described in the menu description, and they did not give us the one drink we had ordered. The other complaint was one of the dinner platters we had order (a $15 item) was not as described in the description part of their menu. But then again we should have known even for being a first time customer what it was because he has pictures on his website. I have also been in contact with the police, and he was asked to stop provoking the harassment we have been receiving which he had agreed to do on Monday, but evidently has now resumed by writing a comment on our google reviews. And yes please feel free to go on his page and you can decide for yourself, but just know the initial part of all of this has been deleted, so thought I would explain again..
9.10.23-I will never recommend this place to anyone after having to deal with the David the owner. I wouldn't want anyone to be treated the way I was, and for no reason just letting him know that one of the menu items ordered was not as stated in the description of the ordered item, and letting him know we were also missing items. He was rude, and verbally abusive, swore and pretty much told me that it didn't matter if I never went back there because he has been opened since last November and is doing well. So in fear of people getting treated with disrespect, and rudeness I would stay away, or if you go there please make sure you know what your getting and check your bags before you leave because if you drove a distance to get your food and are missing anything he will not give you credit unless you return the item. He is not a trustworthy person he thinks people are swindlers and trying to take advantage of him. Cares more about that than making a good name for himself go figure. So if you decide to go there please make sure you have everything you ordered and what you thought you were getting so you won't have to be put through what I was. He is not a nice person and doesn't treat the people who are keeping him in business with respect, or like they matter, he doesn't need us he made...
Read moreLa Birria Loca was recommended to me by a friend when I mentioned that I was in search for the best quesabirria in the area. We do not live near La Birria Loca, but were in the area and decided to give it a try. We got the quesabirria platters. This was a very large quesabirria (think of it like a quesadilla with the birria meat inside a flour tortilla with lots of ooey gooey mexican cheese), consommé, and a cup of rice and beans. The two platters were about $36 dollars before tax. I felt this was worth the price because it was evident they were using very high quality ingredients. The meat was perfect, delicious, and flavorful. the cheese and tortilla were high quality. The consommé (used for dipping the quesabirria like a French dip) was very authentic tasting and really added another layer of flavor to the quesabirria, though I could have eaten it all by itself. The food was not greasy at all. For dessert, we tried the cookies and cream tres leches cake and it was also very yummy. Beyond the food, what really impressed me was the customer service. In general, I feel the art of customer service and conversation has been lost, but La Birria Loca is a pleasant exception to the rule. I did not place my order ahead of time and instead waited until I arrived at the restaurant. David took our order and took time to explain the menu to us since it was our first time dining with them. He asked where I heard about them and we chatted about common interests while our food was being prepared. He asked us what type of salsa we wanted and provided us with onion, cilantro, forks, and spoons. He recommended places nearby where we could eat our food since they do not have sitting inside the restaurant. While speaking to me, he referred to me by name. He was very kind and personable and made us feel welcome while we waited. Overall, this was a great experience and we will be back to try more menu items! Come for the quesabirria! Stay for the cake and...

The streets been waitin’. The block rejoiceth. Dinner just got holy.
So boom — I walk in and this place look like a trap meets art gallery meets flavor séance. I swear I thought I got caught in a sci-fi episode where the tacos cast spells on you. Them swirl designs on the counter got me feelin’ like I was about to order food and get my soul read.
Red walls? Check. Wild décor? Check. Menu written like a mixtape tracklist? DOUBLE CHECK. I’m talkin’ “BIRRIATONES,” “QUESABIRRIA,” “TACOS DE GASOLINA” — okay I made that last one up but you feel me.
The dude behind the counter? He look like he don’t play about seasoning. I ain’t even ask questions — just walked in, pointed at the menu, and whispered “fix my life.”
And he did.
I bit into that taco and straight up felt like I needed to call my grandma and apologize for ever tellin’ her that her tacos were the best. Like, I’m sorry Meemaw… I didn’t know any better. I was just a child. These tacos are the truth, the way, and the bite. I should’ve known when the consomé came lookin’ like it been slow-danced with all 12 apostles.
It’s not a counter, it’s a flavor altar. I placed my order, looked into them hypnotic swirls, and next thing I knew I was outside holdin’ a burrito with tears in my eyes like someone just forgave me for all my sins.
FINAL THOUGHT: This ain’t no window shop taco joint. Nah. This La Birria spot is a whole experience. You don’t eat here — you transcend. You step in for lunch and leave spiritually re-aligned. Tacos hittin’. Vibe hittin’. Décor hittin’. Soul? Healed.
Open late. Seasoned heavy. Certified trippy taco temple. Respect the swirl. Call...
