Winona's Pizza — Restaurant in Winona

This place has the potential to be the best pizza in town. The dough they use is great and the slices have a perfect bend to them when you pick one up. The problem is that every pizza I have gotten from here only has sauce, cheese and toppings across 3/4s of the pizza, the crust is like an inch and half long which is just too much for the size of their large. The cheese is just turning golden brown and bubbling so it's clear that they have their time and temperate dialed in very well. The sauce is good but it doesn't seem like it's made in house which could be a game changer. Friendly every time, this is my first year at Winona State, me and my boyfriend have been ordering pizza from them since August, maybe 3/4 times a month. Always friendly, always very fast. At first we thought the quality of the pizza wasn't going to be very good at all because it was so cheap, but for 5$ it's better then the pizza you'd get from larger pizza corporations like Pizza Hut.. Don't listen to these negative reviews! $5 Pizza has fantastic pizza! The wait might be long only because of how many people LOVE the pizza and ordered ahead of you! No, they dont pick and choose who's pizza to make first, its first come first serve, like any normal pizza place. They make everything handmade, and immediately when you order so everything is fresh.
