Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium — Attraction in Winona

My first experience with Altra was one I never want to repeat. I went in to make my first truck payment with them, and it was horrible! Online payment was not working for me as a new member. It kept telling me it was unavailable. so I went in and asked if they could withdraw the funds from my checking account. They said yes so I have them my checking account debit card. This was on Thursday. Well, they took out the payment and also placed a hold on my account for the same amount until the following Monday! So basically my account was debited over $1000.Why I have no idea, they told me it's what the system does. It's now the following Monday, and the hold on my account has still not been lifted. I'm on a limited income and being 500 dollars short all weekend was not a place I wanted to be. I'm going tomorrow and closing out my loan there and refinancing somewhere else. I don't care if it costs me money. I'm just not going to do business with a credit union that treats a new customer like that. I relied on the dealer to do the financing. Thinking they would call my bank first. Today I got a email from my bank saying they would refinance at a lower rate saving me almost $3000 over the next 48 months. The length of my loan. I don't know why they had to put a hold on my account for twice what my payment was, but I am not happy with them and will discourage anyone from giving them...

I was absolutely horrible! the stadium looked like a landfill because there was trash everywhere and also the lack of customer service, there is a game today and the opposing team is sitting out in the heat with no urgency to get them...
