I hate to post negative reviews, but felt it might be worth it for the feedback in this case. I went to Ardmore Coffee nearly 2 years ago and it was great! Good environment to get some work or studying done due to the very fast wifi and on that visit the coffee was fantastic. I ordered a cold brew with blueberry cold foam that was part of the spring menu at the time. This drink had a perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess along with a strong and well-brewed coffee flavor.

But today I ordered a medium cold brew and there's no way around saying that it was just awful. It tasted like water with a hint of a bitter coffee flavor. I usually drink cold brew as is or with a small amount of milk or cream. I tried throwing some cream in to help after the initial bad taste, but this further proved it was beyond saving. I also didn't feel any noticeable difference from the caffeine and I don't have a high caffeine tolerance. I can't justify paying $6.35 (with $1 tip included) for an average sized drink that is this bad. I also noticed when I received the drink that the barista said "here's your iced coffee" instead of "cold brew" so I'm not sure if it was actually cold brew or coffee that was brewed hot and later chilled. I nearly always prefer cold brew over iced coffee and would prefer to be told this before buying if this is the case because then I'd go for an espresso drink instead.

I hate to leave a review based on one menu item alone. I'm sure I'll give it another shot, but I'd definitely order something completely...

Gave one star due to location. Tried this place many years ago and was never impressed with quality or value so haven’t been back..skip to 2022 and wow, just awful. I had a coupon for BOGO so I thought okay..I’ll try it again. Unfortunately, I will probably never go again..$7 for an iced chai latte that tasted..off. It’s normally my summer go to drink so as soon as I sipped it I thought, “did I just brush my teeth?” Didn’t want to complain since I used a coupon but it was so awful I eventually asked for a regular hot latte..since I paid $7..I think the chai was either old or the sugar was omitted (and I’m not a sweets person but in a chai latte, it’s a necessity). Exchange wasn’t an issue and service was professional and friendly though not enough reason to frequent imo. Ordered chocolate milk as my “free” drink for my daughter..they use Wal-mart milk..nothing against it but nothing about this place seemed local aside from the cool handmade items that are sometimes for sale..also, they don’t have whipped...

It is easy 2 find on Hawthorne Rd right across the street from Food Lion between both hospitals. There was no line & the employee behind the counter was quick, knowledgeable & kind. He didn't have change 2 break my $100 & was going 2 just let me have my cappuccino but the kind lady behind me just added my drink 2 her bill! (Thank u so very much!) So there r nice people n the neighborhood as well! They have good prices (cheaper than Starbucks) & a good variety of choices (they even have a chart on the wall explaining what is n each choice & the amount n each so u can find out the difference between a latte, a cappuccino, an espresso, a cafe au lait, etc). They have places 2 sit inside as well as a small bench area 2 sit outside the shop. I will definitely b returning especially since they aren't just open n the morning (it was lunchtime when I went). I got the cinnamon maple cappuccino & the creme brulee latte... They were...

I'd heard good things about this coffee shop for quite some time, and I'll admit that its reputation is well-deserved. Ardmore is cozy without being cramped. Local art (available for purchase) adorns the walls, and there's a vaguely retro vibe. It does "quaint neighborhood coffeeshop" unironically and well. Of course, the coffee is quite good, too as are the baked goods. My wife and I had a cherry vanilla latte and a creme brulee latte, respectively, off the Winter menu and shared a ham and cheese croissant and a piece of chocolate banana bread. Creme brulee drinks are sometimes overly sweet, but this one was not. Served hot and promptly by an amiable barista, it was warm and satisfying, especially in sub-freezing temperatures. I don't know when I'll get out to this area of Winston next, but for those who live closer, Ardmore is a must.

Ardmore coffee is a cozy, charming little coffee shop. The batista greeted me as soon as I entered and was very friendly. I asked for a dirty Chai latte and it ended up being the best one I've had anywhere so far. The shop is very small with a calm atmosphere. This would be a great place to hang out to read or do homework. I will definitely be back! In the pictures I saw before visiting I had saw an art vending machine that I did not see on my visit. I was sad to miss it but there are still some pieces by local artists for sale in the cafe.

Ardmore coffee is a welcome favorite to the Ardmore strip. I’ve tried their CrĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e latte and their vanilla latte. Blake, Leah and Bella were each very charming and friendly, and the atmosphere of the shop is surprisingly airy and perfect for intimate, quiet conversation. The new owners are proud of their establishment, and it shines through in their presentation. Their latte art is ‘grammable, with sharp lines. I’m glad to have found this spot so close to home.
