Ranch-O Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

My last bad experience with Rancho Family Restaurant. -2/1/23 called and ordered #21 Famous greek souvlaki. -Asked did it come with Tzatziki sauce, the employee replied yes. Once I received order at home no Tzatziki sauce. -Called restaurant employee says can you come back and get it? No I cannot, oh well I’m sorry there’s nothing else I can do. Wait what??? Asked for a manager, she will not be in until Friday (only one manager Sherry, I guess). -Called Sherry the manager gave my complaint requested my meal be replaced. Sherry said sure bring back your food you didn’t eat and we will give you another meal with the Tzatziki sauce. -took back my food I didn’t eat (not sure why they needed that) got a new meal. -once again not what I ordered or expected now my meat has been changed to some type of hard pork no longer chicken. Not eating pork I would NOT have ordered pork. Not sure why it was changed! Rancho has a tremendous amount of employees, new signs to advise they don’t have a website, no menu online and to check your food they not responsible for your food after you leave. Sherry mentioned we all mistakes which is true. But when given another chance the goal is to correct the mistake not mess it up again and not learn anything from it. The dementor/language of their new handwritten signs is not very nice or professional. They come across as if we are not living in a more technical world and there customers are a bother to continue to ask for such a normal thing received at most 20th century businesses! I’m very disappointed in the service I’ve recently received and would hope that they will read this review and 1- make it right 2- improve on customer experience for all. I was informed tonight that I cost the restaurant money every time I go there, that I am never satisfied with anything when I come there, that I have the waitress run around ragged for me every time I come there, that I should not have refused the garbage given to me in the form of pork chops. I ONLY HAVE CENTER CUT PORK CHOPS IN MY FREEZER. I didn't mind the thin pieces, however, I did mind an unrecognizable extra thin piece that was mostly bone. I refused it. Waitress was not happy. She later stated that other customers were disturbed by me saying I'm not eating that. Waitress took my comments for the kitchen towards herself. Waitress stated, that's all they had. UNACCEPTABLE!!

I always leave favorable tips and stated I would not be further insulted, that I won't be returning since she stated how she felt about me and allowed me to continue to come in there for 14 years and feel this way about a customer. I've asked my neighbor to join me many times and she refuses to step foot into this diner. I see now why she dislikes this place. I feel sorry for others who speak up about service..

Not sure why people like this place. My wife likes the bologna sandwich. I've tried many menu items, still nothing that's great, not even very good. Pasta is wet, with water at the bottom of the plate, hamburgers are from Frozen parties, French fries tasteless, not very crispy and yet brownish. Steak sandwich meat is some sort of pressed meat, like Buddig or possibly mighty dog dinner... Last one I had was warty looking and somewhat fishy smelling. I once asked for extra mayonnaise and it had either"gone off" or was actually some sort of sandwich dressing, not Mayo. The one redeeming quality is they DO have home made baklava, however instead of using real honey, it's some sort of almost clear sweet liquid like a heavy sugar syrup, maybe with a bit of honey flavoring or even real honey added for a bit of flavor. Get it to go, remove the baklava from the surger syrup and put a little real honey on it, and...
