Very disappointing food. It has such a cool pretty atmosphere but don’t let looks deceive you. I ordered a Ceasar salad with a scoop of chicken Salad on top, no dressing. Much to my surprise, out came this wilted lettuce with nothing but a glop white dressing on top. When I went to the front to discuss my order, they told me that the glop of dressing was actually the chicken salad and so I of course, told the front counter worker that I didn’t even want dressing. There’s no way I could eat this when It was pure mayonnaise and you had to look really hard to even find a piece of chicken. They (The worker kept speaking to somebody in the back about my concern), came back and very flippantly said well that’s the salad and that’s the chicken salad and basically too bad. I didn’t eat a bite of it. They took it away didn’t offer any compensation not another salad when I spoke up about it, the response was I could get another salad, but I need to pay for it. My new, that’s after paying over $20 for this salad and not taking one bite of it.
So along with the fact that my food was disgusting, they also did not have the wherewithal to try to make a difference . By the way, you could look at my record I am not someone who leaves bad reviews, really ever. I was so disappointed and disgusted, and the way this was handled, and this is the only way to voice your experience when your concern is very valid and you are...
Read moreSo glad Theodore's moved into the old Silo location, because Reynolda Village really needed a good sandwich spot! The sandwiches at Theodore's are made fresh and are delicious! A friend and I split the Dairyman, which is brie and pear, and the Caprese--basically fresh tomato and mozzarella. Both were super yummy and came out on nice, toasted sourdough. Chips come with the sandwich, or for a little more you can get one of their other sides, like the pasta salad or tomato soup. They brought me the tomato soup instead of the chips, but when I asked they quickly rectified it and also left me the soup, which was surprisingly thick and tasty.
You order at the bar and bring your number to a table, so your food will be delivered when it's ready. If in a group, I recommend putting all the sandwiches on the same order so they get delivered at the same time. We ordered during a busy Sunday and it seemed like they had forgotten about us, because it took nearly an hour for our sandwiches to show up (seems like a very long time for sandwiches). So I highly recommend ordering your sandwiches, and then finding a table, especially if there during a busy period. Inside seating is limited, but you can get sandwiches to go and sit outside when the weather is...
Read moreI've been here a few times now both solo and with friends and it's always a good time. Decor and vibes, it's hard to beat this place - it's clean, warm, welcoming, and trendy. Lots of seating options and the back corner with the couches is so cozy.
As far as food and drink offerings, they have a lot of solid options. I mostly come for a drink and to read or catch up with friends, but their sandwiches and deli side definitely look appealing.
I've had several cocktails and mocktails here and I think overall, the drinks are tasty and standard priced. Service has never been an issue, whether it's relatively empty or a little busier, the waitstaff is friendly and fast.
I will say on my most recent visit, I had the "warm & toasty" which I expected to be hot, like a hot toddy or hot cocoa? but it was basically a marshmallow old-fashioned. Tasted fine, but the main reason I ordered it was because I was cold and wanted to warm up! The rest of the people in our group were confused as well, but other than that, this is a...
