As i arrived @the restaurant i went into the bathroom to wash up my hands it was filthy dirty toilet paper on toilet seat & floor. After i waited way to long for our order it was WRONG . And my sandwiches we're sitting next to the sandwich line for 5 minutes while the cashier was taking more orders. I filled my soda twice as i waited to get my order put on our tray and i had to get napkins to wipe off all the ketchup on the tray. My frosty was getting soupy and melting as order and order was being taken. Usually it is much better when someone is expediting the food after it is prepared. And put on our trays for the guests. If i was a secret shopper the rating would of been a (2or3) on 1-10 scale..... The tables in the dinning area was filthy and after i had a couple bites the luke warm sandwich. More than half of my large frosty was completely melted only 3 bites into my sandwich. And when i went to throw out my food in the garbage area they were overflowing with wrappers and garbage. Trays weren't to bad stacked up on garbage receptacle. It would be much better if someone would wipe down the trays before they lay our order on top of it. And I walked to several tables to find one clean enough to sit down and eat our food. We go to this location twice or so a week & it looked like the battle zones i fought in Iraq & Afghanistan. I understand after a lunch rush sometimes it can get hectic and as a customer that frequently eats at that location I've never ever seen it this bad it almost seemed like every aspect of the visit got worse and worse. One guy and a girl employees they were joking around and standing out in the dining area waiting for customers to fill their cups with their drinks so they can get their personal drinks refilled those two people seem to throw a monkey wrench in the whole operation even though there was no food expeditor nobody cleaning the dining room tables garbage cans or bathrooms. That was quite an experience and I brought friends that likes to go to Arby's or Zaxby's and I convinced them to join me@ Wendy's and she looked at me and said I will never come back here again. I'm sorry if I was harsh or it sounded like I was being mean but I'm a career military man and I pretty much tell it like it is. I'll will always come back to that location but it sure didn't put a good impression on the two ladies I brought with me to enjoy a lunch at your restaurant. It was after 1300 hrs so if the crew is in the weeds for the lunch rush they should have been able to recover and do their job. I did see a party of 5 leave cuz the guy taking the orders had to be new!!! (Justin) i believe was his name because he would ask the folks what the order was and it seemed like he typed it order over 2 or 3 times because he couldn't get it right......The cashier was clueless tapping the register back-n- or clearing it out or something & he still got our order Wrong. I understand you get new employees but if he can't handle LIVE FIRE @ 1315hrs with at least 7 party's waiting to place there orders. Not good for the bottom line when folks are walking out of the establishment. Poor leadership on property the cashier that was obviously not ready for a rush of guests he would of been better in the dinning area wiping tables & trays emptying the trash. Making a welfare check in the latrine's. Please don't take my evaluation of a vital time of the day the wrong way nothing personal only trying to help out where if that continues sure it will turn folks away & if my Platoon was lollygagging like that i would only hope it was brought to my attention to correct this malfunction. Read moreJan 2023: I went to Wendy’s tonight. I sat at the drive thru speaker for 20 mins waiting for someone to answer so I could place my order. I said “hello” after the first 10 mins, thinking maybe they did not see me. I said “hello” about 3 more times before finally giving up and driving around the store to the window. When I reached the drive thru window I saw an employee with a headset just smiling away looking right at me, like I hadn’t just been sitting at the drive thru for several minutes. Needless to say I drove away without placing an order. The evening crew at this Wendy’s is the worst in Winston. I speak from experience when I say this, as it is not the first time I have had issues at this Wendys. The day time shift is great, but after 5pm you are lucky to get hot fries and your correct order.
April 26, 2023: update to the above score. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place needs to be closed, the Night Shift is a joke. They never manage to make any burgers right, if you order a large anything they will give you a small and half the time you are lucky to get your full meal. Went to Wendy’s tonight and ordered 3 meals and 1 individual sandwich. I instead received 2 meals and 3 individual burgers. Out of the two meals neither were what I had ordered, and out of the three burgers none were correct. I asked for upsized drinks (lg instead of sm), was charged for the lg drinks and received small drinks instead. When I told the person at the window that my drinks were incorrect she stated very rudely “that’s what you ordered”. To which I replied “Nope” and showed her my receipt which showed I ordered and paid lg drinks. It wasn’t until I arrived home and opened the burgers that I realized they had not gotten any of my orders right. When I pulled up to the drive-through, there were two cars ahead of us and when we pulled around, there was only one car in front of us at the window. It took 20 minutes just to put in our order including a five minute wait when we pulled up to the speaker the lady who answered told us give me just a moment and we just sat there waiting. I dare not argue because I wouldn’t want nobody to mess with my food. Then we finally get to the window they take our payment. Don’t give us a receipt. Forget a whole fry in a two meal order. So we back up to the window and the managers backend was sitting in the window propped open by the credit card machine wire. As we pull away, none of the food is hot barely warm and I had to ask for my receipt. Didn’t see your name tag she wasn’t wearing a Wendy’s uniform. It was a black Lacey food stained top. I figured she was the manager, but I can’t imagine so…… we’ve had some seriously crazy wait times just to get our orders for like the last year so we rarely come to this location anyways but we were in a hurry.
