I never write letters like this but I was so shocked by the treatment we received at our local Wendy’s (2735 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). My 2 kids (5 year old little girl and 9 year old boy) and I arrived approximately 7:15 pm this evening and there were 4 cars in front of us at the drive thru. It took us 20 minutes to get to the second window to get our food which was frustrating on its own (but I would never write a letter just for the wait). My little girl decided she wanted to get a juice box, so I got 2 dollars out of my pocket and I told the guy that was handing me the food that my little girl wanted a juice box. He said “I would have to go back around”. We just waited in the line for 20 minutes and just wanted a juice box. I was not asking them to make me an extra sandwich or meal, I just wanted them to reach into the fridge and grab a juice box which I was happy to OVER pay for with the 2 dollars cash I had in my hand. Anyway, I told the guy it was silly for me to go back around to get in line for a juice box and I would really appreciate it if he could get me a juice box. He said he was not open to take money. I said ok. I saw another man behind him taking money inside so I asked the man at the window if he could just ring me up that would be great. His response was in a loud tone “I don’t give a shit” and he slammed the window shut on me. My daughter started to cry because she thought this guy was yelling at me. I stayed calm and I sat there for a minute until a lady came to the window with a juice box. I handed her the 2 dollars (which I know is an over payment) and she handed me a juice box. If you want to eat food where employees flush toilets and then don't wash there hands at all I would not recommend eating here!!! I ask manager if employee washed his hands so manager asked employee and his response was I didn't use bathroom I just flushed it.

Read moreFast food restaurants service have been going down for awhile, this was one of them. I had stopped coming because of that. Today I decided to give it another shot since they renovated the entire restaurant. It is definitely more modern and appealing. To my surprise the customer service was also a lot better. Staff was friendlier and quicker than my last few encounters. The food was hot and fresh. The Big Bacon Classic was not a disappointment. It comes in single, double or triple. The double was filling enough. The drink machine has numerous choices and I love that they have lots of DIET choices and not just one plain Diet Coke. I hope they keep up the friendly and efficient work because no matter how good the food is, that could be a big deterrent for customers. Update April 2024
I like Wendy’s, let’s get that out of the way. I hardly come here because I have not had a good experience with the workers. There are new workers now and seem to be doing a bit better. Unfortunately, once again, they screwed up my order and I did not get my nuggets. At least they were friendlier this time. I also did not get a receipt so I cannot go complain on line. My Dave’s Single was still good and their fries are now a bit thinner and taste great, never too salty like that other fast food franchise.
