After dining here, I was shocked to see some of the reviews because service was incredible and the food here is delicious. They literally have the best food in town.
I will say though that service here is leisurely. The kind of place where you really chill and enjoy the company of who you are with. This is not a fast food restaurant. You will be waiting a while to order, to get your food and to get your check so don’t go here hangry, in a hurry or with someone who’s company you do not enjoy because you will have a bad time.
We dined on a Saturday and Sunday night. Saturday was super busy so I would recommend making reservations for that day. I think we got lucky to find seats Saturday night.
We are not drinkers so our server Seth D. recommended a cherry, citrus and ginger mocktail that was extremely delicious. The black pepper garlic cesar is exquisite and the burgers are tender and juicy. We had the same puff pastry both nights for desert and it melted in our mouth. The desert didn’t come right away so our food was able to settle and we really got to enjoy it. The pastry was freshly baked.
The food, atmosphere, servers and service was 10/10.
Also, our server Seth D really went above and beyond for us on Saturday night. We were staying at the A-frames and asked if he knew where we could go to buy water that late at night. Seth filled up 4 glass containers of filtered water for us to take to the cabin but before leaving they ended up giving us 4 water bottles. This is a very small but kind gesture and it really saved us a trip into town after an exhausting day. We were so tired so his thoughtfulness and willingness to solve our problem really meant...
Read moreIf I could give this 0 stars I would. We just left The Saloon at the Aframe Club in Winter Park, CO. It is a new establishment and I had very high hopes for this place but, wow, what a disappointment! Initially, we arrived around 6:00, greeted by a nice hostess, told her we didn’t have reservations and was accommodated with a table, no problem - encouraging. After a smidge too long, we met the waitress who took our drink order, salad order and our dinner order at the same time. After about 15 minutes we received our salad (which was good) and our drinks. This was the last we saw of her in at least an hour. During that time the hostess refilled our water decanter and cleared the salad plates. We were never asked if we wanted another drink or an update on the order. I turned around to see our waitress SITTING at a customer’s table chatting it up for at least 15 minutes! When I flagged her down to ask for our food she returned from the kitchen to say it would be another few minutes and then announced that they would comp what we had consumed. We told them we would pay for what we ate but she said they would just comp it. No responsibility taken for clearly forgetting our order, never checking on us at all, the worst service ever. When you charging the prices you are for dinner, which we didn’t mind, there are expectations for half way decent service. It’s your only job for God’s sake! An hour and a half for salad and one drink…… ridiculous. The apathy was amazing! Not sure if this is a case of a really inept server or a complete fail of a restaurant. Really unfortunate experience. Won’t return. Remember - you only have one chance to make a good...

Showed up on time to our 7pm reservation. Waiter was super brief and rushed us to order. After attempting to order the ceviche, he notified us they were completely out of all 3 fish items on the menu and quickly asked “whtaya want instead?”
After ordering, he returned to the table every 45 minutes over the course of our 2 1/2 hour long, 2-course dinner. Waited an eternity for every item and drink we ordered (not many), notably 2 hours before an entrée showed up.
Was terrified to send back my chef Boyardee-like pasta dish, in fear that I wouldn’t be able to eat before midnight. Had to walk up to the bar to retrieve our check where our waiter was dancing and flirting with some girl at the bar.
The real highlight was when my friend choked on an un-chewable rubbery unidentified green vegetable of some sort. She was ok though, pulling it out for an impressive length of time like a magician.
So I guess 2 stars because it was kind of funny and some of the steak was edible… but not cooked to temperature...
