Here’s the thing… I remember when I could make my own crepes here. I remember when employees were happy to be here and happy to help anyone make their trip memorable. What I just experienced what unbelievable. These employees are obviously disgruntled, as she reminded me 3 times she’s been up since 6 and there since 8 and they were cutting off all ordering at 5:30 so they could close by 6. Despite the fact that I was in the door waiting on my last day at winter park by 5:30. The girl taking orders said “y’all have to wait so I can catch up on ice cream orders” To be honest nothing here is even good enough to wait in line but it’s the tradition for me. Maybe the owners should coach their staff on customer service and kindness. Arguing with someone in front of a place full of people is pretty disgusting, and had she been scooping ice cream instead she might could have gotten orders in. Thankfully the sweet lady who ordered 4 crepes right in front of me gave me hers. I’m pretty appalled at how I was just...
Read moreThis place is a great start to the day when visiting the mountain. We like that it is open before the slopes so that we can grab a bite after having driven up early for a day of skiing. The service is cafeteria style, which is fine by us early in the morning. The selection of breakfast food is extensive with a large selection of both sweet and savory crepes. My daughter likes the sweet smores - because she is a kid! I don't mind filling her up on sugar in the morning because its all going to good use on the slopes. For me, I like their omelettes and quiche. There are cinnamon buns, cookies, coffee drinks and such. I would give them 5 stars, but they don't have very many lower-fat options such as an egg white omelette. That would be appreciated. They also have a rather long line most of the time. It would be good to get two cashiers to help move people along through the process in...
Read moreAfter completing an 8 mile 6 1/2 hour hike I wanted to treat my family with a sweet treat at Goodies. Arriving we gave them our order. Four ice creams and two smoothies. My wife asked me a few minutes later if I ordered anything. I replied yes. Upon going to the gentleman that took my order and I left a tip with, I asked do you recall me ordering a banana blackberry smoothie? He replied yes. The other person in our group had ordered a peach smoothie. They served her hers but did not serve mine. The staff member said there was only one smoothie on the ticket. Then overheard her telling a dishwasher I’m not making another smoothie I’m not giving anything anything for free. Somehow there’s no communication. I know I’m only talking about a smoothie but anytime restaurant doesn’t make it right when they are in the wrong, that really stands out as a black flag against an ...
