One of the worst places to try to get into in the Winter Park Base area. We tried to get in a few days ago. The place was full at 6 p.m., so great for them; but this is where it goes south. No one is at the reception desk. One of the waiters came over and kind of looked at us, we said there was three in our party, he kind of nodded to us and didn't take a name, didn't have a list, didn't say how long it would be and never came back to the desk. Others received the same non-greeting. We know about the staffing shortages everywhere right now, and get all of that, but this was bizarre. A couple of waiters came by the desk and tried not to look at any of us who were waiting there. About nine of us who were waiting talked about how rude this was to treat prospective customers this way and we all finally left. This was on Tuesday, March 1st. We have been coming up to Winter Park from the Denver area for 40 years and have never been treated so inappropriately by any restaurant like this one. Most of the restaurants at the village have gone under, and we also get that the ones that have survived are busy and there will be a wait. But, to not even keep track of those waiting and giving them an anticipated wait time, or not take names or anything is not proper for any restaurant. We will never try to go this place again. Other great Mexican restaurants can be found in town, like at Cooper Square;...
Read moreokay, here's the deal. This place is awesome! The food & vibe are great! Get the queso and try the Lime Peppers! HOWEVER!!!! if the bartender is a female red head, who seems less than happy to be there...BEWARE. It may have been an off day for her? She acted like we were the worst thing to happen to her. I asked the difference between the "skinny" & regular margarita, We ordered the regular. After our bill ( which I rarely look at , was 2X's what I expected) I politely asked about the difference. She said "You asked about the skinny so I gave you the skinny". Well, based on her "I'm doing you a favor to serve you, awful attitude" I didn't want to upset her any more by simply sitting at the bar and ordering food & drink and we paid and left. She must have had an awful day, because her service and attitude should embarrass her and Lime. I never leave reviews, but this is an exception. don't let this stop you from going. Just ask for Dane (another server who likes his job) and avoid, at all cost, the red head behind the bar. If you end up with her, be sure to be clear with your order. Lime is great - Red head....No so much!
Update - Management either doesn’t read these reviews or doesn’t care - 3 more negative reviews about the same (I assume) bartender. Maybe she IS management? No clue why nothing has been done. I hope she finds...
Read moreMy husband and I love Lime and have gone to other locations with no issues. This was our first time at the one in WP. After being placed on a waitlist, a group came in after us and was seated before us. (Their table sat six and we had a party of five-so no party size discrepancy.) Once seated we then waited for over 12 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. We ordered chips and salsa (in hopes of satisfying the kids for a while) and that came after all the rest of our food. When I told the manager we were missing the chips and salsa, he never came back with it and I then had to ask the server to bring it out. I ordered green chili cheese fries and when it got to the table and I started eating it, I noticed there was no green chili on them. Once I finally got the attention of our server after 10 minutes of the food being at the table, she said she would grab the manager. Instead of coming to talk with us or re-fire the food, he just brought out a side of green chili, for me to dip my now cold fries in. I was flabbergasted at the service and management at this establishment. We will not come back to...
