Wow. This pizza. Amazing. We decided to go with a local pizza place instead of our usual fast food pizza. I was scrolling through pizza near me on Google and saw golden pizza. Pretty good reviews. Not bad. Prices? Very reasonable. Sent it to my man at home and he said "those pictures look incredible!" So we decided to call in for carryout. We got a small Margherita pizza, a medium pepperoni with garlic and extra cheese, Garlic knots, and a house salad. They said it would only to 20 minutes. We arrive. We enter the seemingly quiet but nicely decorated Golden Pizza. There's only one person seated which was a little surprising. We walked in and they welcomed us kindly. After saying our name and that we had a carryout order, The lady at the counter recites our order from memory. That was so cool. They said they needed 5 more minutes, They are just putting the pizzas in the oven. We watch as they use very carefullu and precisely this majestic pizza oven. It looks incredible. They box it up, pass it to us and wish us well. As soon as we step out to leave we smell the air. What was that beautiful smell? We look down at our boxes of pizza. We sniff again. It was the pizza. I open the top box, too excited to wait. It's the Margherita pizza, and it was gorgeous. I begged my boy to let me sniff the other pizza, but he refused. "Trust me. I want to. But we must keep it warm and not let the heat escape" I begrudgingly accepted, and we hurried home. We sat on the couch, and started to dine like the king and queen we are. The salad is in a Styrofoam box, and we open it to a wonderfully displayed house salad. It's simple, but wonderful. We move on to the garlic knots, and oh my. So soft. So well seasoned. So sophisticated. I loved it. But our pizzas were the main star. I'm sitting here now, eating my leftovers, and I'm reminded of the earth shattering experience we had last night. Super fresh, perfectly sliced tomatoes layered with mozarella slices and basil. And the crust? To die for. My lover said his pizza was the best thing he had ever put in his mouth. We had a great rest of our night. I am so thankful. I'm so excited to order here again, and maybe this time we will actually dine in! 10/10, will...
Read moreWhat a nice little restaurant. The kitchen is in full view and you get to see the owner J. P (I REALLY HOPE THAT'S RIGHT!) making the pizzas in his trusty pizza oven! Absolutely friendly staff with a comfortable setting. There's tables and booths, lots of fun little blurbs under the kitchen counter with info about the owner and the restaurant which reminded me a lot of Five Guys. But now, the important part... The pizza! As you can see in the picture, I ordered a meat lovers pizza and there is more than enough to satisfy that craving of smoked Meats! The pizza was finely cut so you could pull apart the slices easily! That always gets a point in my book because nothing is worse than getting a slice that pulls cheese or toppings off other slices. The sauce was nice and light which lets you appreciate the meat more and the cheese is nice and melty enough that it bonds the ingredients to your slice. The dough is a little tough and chewy but I personally actually like that and it was cooked well enough that you still got a nice char on some of the dough which was nice. The slices have some heft to them and you'll probably be good with 2-3 slices from a large 16' pizza.
All in all, Pizza Golden gets a 3.8/5. I think a lot of people will really enjoy this pizza and the staff is super nice and ready to assist with everything they can so you can get going with your day. It's a little pricey at $22, but I think it's necessary to help your local shops so that they can grow and prosper and keep these places running so we don't have to settle for something like...
Read moreI gotta be detailed with this one.....just absolutely wowed! As we all know Pizza is alot of peoples favorite dish, so you can only imagine the options in our local area. Im not kidding when I say every corner has a pizza spot...but I can guarantee you not one of them can cook or serve pizza like this gem right here. I'm a pizza feen so a close friend recommended the spot for me to try out. I was greeted by both the owner and kitchen manager Arsenio, who made us feel extremely welcomed. They jumped straight to our refreshments and began the roll of bread coming in (kuddos to them as I dislike empty wait times at restaurants). Our food was made right before our eyes....not Kobe style but the kitchen is an open concept right by the sitting area (loved it). We ordered the salad and cheese pizza. Firstly, the salad was "fresh fresh" and it had one if the freshest avocados I've eaten all year and I eat avocados everyday haha the pizza simply exceeded all expectations....it has that flavor and texture you can't really describe but would spend a lifetime trying to find. That Italian New York Pizza kind that you only read about and can almost taste but never have luck at any restaurant.....but you'll find it here. I promise you...
