Was excited to go here after reading all the reviews! Not so thrilled when we got there. When we first entered during the covid scare there was only one table by the door, which meant every time the door opened we got a fresh batch of cigarette smoke. It took forever to get waited on. They delivered a shrimp cocktail that we hadn't ordered, when we tried it the shrimp was a little tough. My son always orders burgers. He ordered a gator burger and it was raw. He didn't finish it...first time ever that he left a burger at a restaurant. He was so sick afterward that he couldn't eat till around 2 am. Would have let the waitress know but she never returned to our table...
I was excited to get wings, a favorite of mine. Ordered mild because they don't have medium and they had no taste to them at all. Had a few and brought the rest home to sauce them up!

The oysters (we went through five dozen) were fantastic. We actually ordered a bucket and they shucked them right in front of us. We also ordered a pound of rock shrimp, 20 wings, a turkey club, some fries and some oyster chowder. Everything was amazingly delicious.
Too often local places like this get overlooked in big touristy towns. But if you, like me googled Oyster Bar and are reading this review....go to the Thirsty Gator. You will not be...
