Returned after 3 years!

What
This time I went for what they are known for! I had the Ube Cheesecake Puff Pastry, a slice of their Ube Cheesecake along with their limited release Jolly Pong Latte. I am not a fan of puff pastry I must say and so this one, I thought it was okay too. I like the pastry part of it. The cream on the inside was very light, I don't taste any Ube...(see it though). My friend really liked it, exactly like how its imagined to be. The Ube Cheesecake was really good, it was a nice big slice too. Again, I just see ube and don't taste ube... (maybe that's how it should be). I really really liked the latte! I got the latte with Oatmilk, really glad they have nondairy subs! Crushed pieces of jollypongs mixed with espresso (2 shots) then topped with more jollypongs gave this drink a nice chew! It tasted like breakfast. It does originally comes with caramel drizzle which I opt out of, so the drink wasn't as sweet, honestly perfect for me.

Environment
Still in the same location as before. There are 3 tables outside, probably about 3 tables inside with some window bar seating. Very small location, I don't think much socializing can be done here, not big groups at least. Small groups.. Can get packed quickly.

Niceness of the staff
It was a bit busy when I went. Staff were just trying to make sure everyone is being served in a timely manner. Drinks and food came out pretty quick. Though there was a line, they pumped through the drinks quickly.

Dollar
I little on the pricey side. Definitely treat location. The cheesecake was about $7 and the drink was $4.75 with of course an uncharge for the oatmilk at $0.75.

Yes
Id go for another seasonal drink if anything interested me

Disagreeing with the prior review. I’ve also had the Dalgona latte and it’s exactly what you would expect if you’ve ever tried making Dalgona at home. It’s very good. Pastries are just stellar. Beautiful to see with the eyes and so full of flavor. I like the unique aspect of things I have never tried. I took a leap at finally trying Dubai chocolate. Their cream puff was awesome! The Ube puff we shared was also one of my favorite choices. I’ve never tried Ube and I enjoyed it here for a first time. We shared several pastries. Zero complaints. Cute spot, not a lot of seating but always quiet when you go in. I’ve been served by two different employees and both were friendly and helpful with my questions. People feel entitled to a nice greeting or “enjoy”, “welcome in”. I don’t need it. As an introvert, I don’t mind realizing there are less outgoing employees at times. We can’t always be our best at work. For myself I can’t speak to service others complain about. I’ve been there twice. Both times were a pleasant experience and I recommended it to my family.

Finally sitting down to write this well overdue review.

What a cute and amazing coffee shop! I found this place in the “hot and new” section of yelp and fell in love with the name.

As the name suggests, they make their pastries and drinks lightly sweetened, or sweetened on request.

I was intrigued by the iced Matcha latte. I got one without adding sugar. It was really good! It was Earthy and light, just like the ones I got in Japan! It didn’t need sweetened, the high quality matcha held it’s own flavor!

I paired it with an espresso cream puff. Delicious! The puff was fluffy with a golden and crisp crust layer on the outside. The cream inside was flavorful without being over bearing. The cream was fresh and light!

The decor here is very peaceful and relaxing. Great for a drink and snack! It was cozy enough to be either a quick trip, or hang out for a while.

I feel bad I didn’t catch the cashier’s name, but he was awesome! He was very polite and engaging. It was nice to hear about the restaurant and the quality of products used! He held great conversation and made the trip memorable.

They use recycled wooden forks and knives to dine with on Wooden trays. The trays and cutlery added to the beauty of the restaurant!

I...

Really disappointed…. We have been loyal customers to this establishments for over 8 months now and have even decided to make fun trips every 3 days to get either some macarons and some crepe cakes however, we realized that over time the consistency and quality of the food was just not up to par with the price. It’s one thing to pay 7.50 for a good macaron but it’s another thing to pay 7.50 for a bad one. We always ask the server if the macarons are fresh and they usually let us know what day it was made so we take out chances, but nowadays it just become a thing where every time we bought one it was hard and would crumble to the bite. There is also one individual who I think is the owner who never takes us seriously. She always responds to our questions with “ it’s always fresh” or “ I wouldn’t know if it’s hard or not “ I just expect better customer service.

Like I said we were loyal customers but the customer service has dropped significantly, and we must time our days to get good desserts and if we don’t we are stuck with something bad or disappointing, just a heads up to others who want to come here,

Good luck on what day you which to come because if not your stuck with an overpriced piece...
