Taqueria Tere — Restaurant in Winterville

I loved everything about this restaurant. For one,  Taqueria Tere is a small and quiet atmosphere. They have two seating place indoors and one outdoors seating. The ambience is perfect, with the soft Hispanic music playing in the background.

They have traditional Mexican dishes you normally can't get at Americanized Mexican restaurants. I had the regular "Tortas" [submarine sandwiches]. Al Pastor Tortas was what I got. This is a warm "telera" bread [a savoury Mexican bread made with wheat flour] toasted over the grill with your choice of protein, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, queso fresco aka cheese, and crema. My meal was delicious and filling. I also had mango juice to do with my meal.

I had an amazing experience, the workers were friendly and the food was amazing! If you're in Winterville, NC, and you are craving some fresh and authentic Mexican food, I recommend stopping by this taco shop. Taqueria Tere was highly recommended by a friend, and I am happy to pass on the...

It is a call in order place we showed up to pick our order up stood inside a while we did not have masks in the car or on us but seeing as you have to go in to pick your order up good customer service would dictate that maybe they could just instruct us to bring a mask next time as we were already at the counter just sell us the food we ordered it would not have took any longer than telling us to we needed masks instead telling us we have to drive home pick up masks and come back just to get a taco. Maybe next time tell people over phone when they order that they can't pick up there food without a face mask which by the way is not a law just certain businesses preference. I am very dissatisfied with the way that was handled and will never go back...

I’m new to NC(moved from Albertville Alabama where there are a lot of good authentic mexican food) and have been trying to find food I like but haven’t found anything as good as what’s in Alabama… I saw reviews here and the tacos looked good so I got a few steak tacos today yo see how it was- I also asked for one red and one green sauce. Not sure how I paid $12 for 3 tacos when it said they’re $3 ea but whatever.. the steak was unfortunately over cooked and I did NOT like the corn tortilla . The salsa verde however was SO GOOD!!!
