That a café would get right - no, get perfect - the coffee it makes, the confectionaries it bakes (on site no less), and the service it provides (by exceptionally welcoming and kind people) is a rarity in the world.
And when coffee and a BEC/doughnut/biscuit/scone/croissant/bagel/muffin, or just the coffee, is a necessity and a routine for the majority of the adults in the US, everyone who lives in or near Woburn, MA must say a prayer of thanks for Chris, Danielle, and Kaio, and a hallelujah for the straight up awesomeness that is made, provided, and enjoyed at the Studio Café.
Another thing: we have to appreciate the rarity and glory of a place where the coffee and the food made on site are equal in quality. This speaks to a dedication and an integrity that are few and far between in a world full of franchised, commerce-driven, and devoid of character fast casual and coffee places. If you like Starbucks, say, Pikes Peak (sorry), and because the one nearest your home is open when you're on your way to work and you are in the habit of coffee and breakfast en route to the office (again, sorry), out of convenience you will get a bagel or one of the packaged sandwiches that are heated in the Hansel & Gretel oven behind the counter. Regardless of your choice to make your routine the imbibing of terrible tasting (in my opinion, and hopefully one day soon, the world's) coffee, you also chose a poorly made, and not so delicious, breakfast sandwich.
Those poor choices, and the culinary results, are not possible at The Studio Café.
Also, I'm from New York City and have neither the time nor patience for anything done halfway, least of all coffee and the best biscuit and gluten-free anything I have ever...

Coffee was sub-par, and the sandwich was served on chewy bread (stale?)
I won't be patronizing this establishment again.
Edit after reply:
I was asked for specificity and kindly reminded that it is essential to be specific when one writes a review.
First, I paid $11.75+tax+gratuity for a coffee and a sandwich, which is extremely reasonable, and my expectation for the value received was no less reasonable: I wanted a decent coffee, a decent sandwich, maybe above average, and no surprises.
The comment made in the reply about some people being used to charred coffee is irrelevant. I generally make my own pour-overs or espresso and have been educated in both, as coffee is a passion of mine and an art if done correctly. The coffee I received was disappointingly weak and under-extracted. That was a surprise.
My sandwich was served on dry ciabatta, not because it was toasted excessively, but because the bread had become dry. It was chewy not because toasted ciabatta is chewy, but because it had neared becoming stale. That was another surprise.
The context I was provided surrounding the artistic branding of this establishment did nothing to change my impression of the atmosphere, which was evocative of a classroom, containers of miscellaneous pens, pencils, and yes, crayons, were on every table. Again, a surprise.
I was mildly displeased by the coffee, the food, and the atmosphere, and those three reasons warranted a 2-star review. I appreciate the owner's inquiry and may consider trying this place again solely for...
