The stars are for the pleasant staff in the morning. I went to take a meeting a study room and ended up using the room for a lot less than time I had booked it for. When leaving I asked that when I return in a couple of hours if I would be able to book again. The pleasant woman said “of course!”
Unfortunately when I came back I was met by a rude male staff who immediately seemed defensive when I explained what happened earlier. He was so short, rude and rigid. It completely upset/shocked me…given the pleasant interaction I had earlier.
I am a Woburn resident and have been mostly using the Burlington library (when I was doing my MBA a couple of years ago) for the fact they have more study rooms and don’t have all of these restrictions.
Yesterday was just another reminder why I had stopped coming here. I have my sons attending summer camp in the field next door, which is why I chose to camp out there but I woke up not feeling like I just don’t want to deal with the likes of that male staff again. Read moreThe Woburn Public Library is a great place to be. The new architecture is fresh and beautiful while the original structure is breathtaking. The staff is amazing and the history is so interesting. There are so many services at the library, like the 3D printer and the Library of Things, where you can rent things like a WiFi Hotspot. The Kids Room is delightful. There are so many activities scheduled like Summer Reading, Movies, Game Clubs, the Teen Room where you can play video games, and more. Of course, the main attraction is the books, video games, and DVDs you can rent. There are so many with so many comfortable places to read and relax. You can reserve a study area so you can have a nice and quiet place to do work, and there are many historical items on display. You can use the computers if you don't have your own. Read moreDuring this coronavirus problem the library extended the date my books were due. In early June I accessed my account online and found one of the three books was now considered overdue. The return book box located on Pleasant Streetwas taped shut preventing the return of overdue books. I went to the back of the library and used the book return there. I noticed only account that some books that I had requested were in transit. I attempted several times to contact the library and was instructed by an automated answering service to email the library. I did on 2 separate occasions to no avail.
