bachi 197 — Restaurant in Wood-Ridge

I just moved to the area and saw that Bachi 197 was nearby and had some pretty good looking sliders. So we ordered for pickup one Saturday at around 7:15.

We had ad some double sliders and some fries and the sliders were so good. It’s comparable to White Mana but less greasy, and no wait. We also had a shrimp quesadilla, which wasn’t bad but was just kind of basic. It’s nothing you couldn’t make at home. Lastly, we had an order of Tso’s chicken with noodles. I did not care for the sauce at all. It was more like sweet and sour sauce and it was both too sweet and too sour at the same time. The consistency of the sauce was too thick.

We ended up ordering another time but this time, it was for a party we were hosting, so we ordered a platter of 25 sliders, 50 wings (you can pick two sauces) and a platter of fries. It was a pretty good deal for the amount of food we got, and a crowd pleaser - so I would probably just stick to these items. The only other thing I might try next time is the...

great food...great service...very sweet people during the work week i may order twice in one day and have started ordering on weekends as well... try the fresh guacamole they just started making...excellent (i dip the awesome Belgian style french fries in it...tastes a lot better than it might sound) the sweet potato fries are fantastic... the sliders are amazing (i've had the regular and with raw onion...not the teriyaki) i could go on but i think you get the idea...they don't cheap out on the quality of the food the place is not perfect EVERY TIME but it is consistently enough for the type of eatery that it is...which is to say that if you had a bad experience here then i feel it is a place you should give...

Honestly, I ordered some takeout from here, a recommendation from a friend. Honestly the Sliders are fantastic. No questions asked, they make a good burger.

However, I had some "curry noodles" and another dish similar to General Taos chicken, and honestly it really wasnt good. It all just didnt taste good. honestly not sure how to explain it, just the spices and flavors felt forced, the sauces were chalky, sugary and honestly just did not taste good. Really doesnt feel authentic.

Also, the tacos were a let down as well, just so much salsa and even the wraps were not good.

Sorry to say, I wont be ordering...
