Ok so when I write a review I'm often extremely sastified or disastified but this experience was a very different one and difficult to write but I want to be 100% transparent, give an honest review and let people know what to fully expect when booking and staying at this hotel!!!! I will tell the good and bad!!!! We checked in on a Sunday. Check in was quick, easy, and our room was ready early the staff (esmerelda) was friendly and outgoing great face of the hotel. The room was less then what I consider clean (being that I clean for a living professionally I know what clean is) dirty finger prints on all appliances and TV screens, the shower doors which were glass were full of soap scum and splashes of something and nothing except for half of the bottom was wiped out as the rest was full of dust but we didn't complain we dealt with it...... now for sleeping which is one of the most important accoidations a hotel can offer being that you are paying for your sleep.... THE WORST SLEEP WE EVER HAD!!!!! I called housekeeping and asked for an extra pillow and blanket as the pull out couch did not have any on it or in the room I noticed right away a very strong scent of perfume which we discovered they sprayed onto the pillow and blanket in just one spot but it was so over whelming we couldn't use them I noticed all night we were all itching couldn't sleep the pillows are flat feather pillows and falling behind the beds and the full size beds that are listed as queens on their website were hard and lumpy so I start checking the beds for bugs which thankfully they did not have but they were dirty sheets with stains and someone else's hair all over them discusting. So after tossing and turning all night we are starving and looking forward to the complimentary breakfast (might I add I have never had a complimentary breakfast at a hotel that I didn't like) the options were scarece besides baby size hard danishes and instant oatmeal and bread their special was eggs and sweet potatoes not sure who would ever wake up to enjoy sweet potatoes for breakfast but it was a huge turn off and nothing that we would eat so we left our hotel and went to an IHOP down the street which thankfully was conveniently located down the road which saved me the rest of the 3 days we were there since each day breakfast seemed to get worse. This is a huge issue for me and my family as when booking a hotel convenience is #1. So next is shower time after a horrible night's rest, no hotel breakfast and having to leave to feed my family before we were even ready for the day!!!! We are a family of 4 it took us 3 hours each day to shower and get out of the hotel as the water pressure is so absolutely poor a trickle is all you get!!!!!! Not to mention the water is Luke warm at best this is also the worst shower I've ever taken at a hotel. So after getting ready the housekeeper Knocks on the door to clean and refresh our towels which was great as most hotels do not offer this service she was kind and helpful after I told her about our sheet issue she said she didn't know if she would be able to find any clean sheets anywhere (a hotel should be fully stocked with sheets galore but I will tell you I noticed not a single house keeper on the floor had sheets on their carts nor did I see any stripped sheets on the floors or in the hallways which IS unusual) so she finds me some sheets makes our beds and cleans nothing but the toilet and trash cans and never comes back the other 2 days for any reason so we had to clean the room and ask for towels the remaing days we were here then for whatever reason they decided to manually shut down access to the 1st fl elevator so everyone was forced to walk up 2 flights of staris walk down the hall to the 2nd fl elevator then take it up to your floor (5th fl for us). So my final conclusion of this hotel is i would NOT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL NOR STAY HERE IN THE FUTURE. Couldnt sleep, couldnt take a nice shower, sheets and rooms were dirty breakfast was the worst ive ever seen in a hotel and the elevator was a huge...

My family and I were there with 7 kids and had 3 rooms amongst us. She told me that the system kept locking her out and couldn’t check into our room for a while for a while. I said what time is that? She said maybe 7pm!! This made me miss our bus tour reservations in NYC at the cost of $380! The room key that she was able to provide was the wrong room number. We traveled from NC and MD for this trip. Going through this was the last thing that we needed after battling NJ traffic. When we tried to use the one key to enter the building to the pool. The key didn’t work. I checked the front desk again in an hour and she said she still couldn’t check is in. This is totally unacceptable!!! She was very apologetic. I asked her what is her solution bc we are sitting in the lobby with a bunch of agitated kids and adults unhoused! It was embarrassing!! She said there was nothing she could do and continue to repeat the same thing over and over about her system and the room is locked. I said well put me in another room. She said ok we can try that (what?!!!). Which further agitated me more. She said go online and rebook another room and cancel the other room. We finally get the key and get to the elevator and guess what the key didn’t work. Stuck in the elevator. keep in mind 3 other people walked up to the front desk saying their keys were not working. I honestly don’t know if the associate was incompetent or if Marriott needs to do a whole system reboot! Either way I was close to trying to book a Hilton. Especially after we missed our reservations! Breakfast concept: horrible. Bread smelled moldy. The poor guy that makes the made to Order eggs were left to fail. No numbering system or a way to tell when the eggs were ready. He had to remember articles of Clothing and hope they hear him calling for their order. While the egg special was tasty it wasn’t filling. What happened to the waffles and no meat at all. The design of the breakfast area had a nice aesthetic but completely non functional and inefficient. The few items that were there were not eye level and hard to find. I mean items such as utensils! This hotel in general was frustration after frustration. The space was entirely too small and people were constantly in each others way. Before I realized the bread was moldy I was able to find the smallest saucers for the bread but you all had oversized bowls for cereal (it just made no sense). On top of that there were two toasters and I mean the traditional ones. Why not have the large toaster ovens for a commercial space when multiple people could use it. I saw people burning their hands (they didn’t know there was a tong available) and waiting in line bc you could only toast two slices at a time. On top of this the toasters require the guests to touch the knobs and of course spread germs. Speaking Of germs there was no hand sanitizer anywhere. The employee that was cleaning and restocking did a great job keeping the space clean and stocked. The concept is just horrible idea and a breeding ground for illnesses. The jelly was literally a jar which required you to double dip. No individual packages. Same with the cereal. I can definitely foresee a young unknowing kid sticking their fingers in the jar to grab cereal. I can honestly say I’ve never ate cereal At a hotel but because of the bare selection I contemplated it until I saw the young kids circling. The cereal wasn’t labeled at all!! Dangerous for those with allergies. The seating was very minimum as well. Causing people to sit in the seating area that had fabric covered seats —I’m sure that was not the...
Read moreWe booked this as we normally stay at Marriott hotels. The photos online look great, the actual reality of things doesn't align. I was not aware there was a nightclub prior to booking. We were on the 3rd floor facing the parking lot. I didn't hear the club itself but I could hear full audio the conversations and fights in the parking lot, which there were many. Also the fights and yelling wasn't from hotel or club guests it was the valet staff out there fighting and screaming at all hours of the night. It goes all night, and the valet service is extremely rude and loud. The valet service made no sense to me, they take your car and park it in the closest spaces for the club guests, and block all of the hotel parking with cones. There is no actual parking for the hotel guests. We were forced to park offsite at Pep-Boys in specific parking spaces to avoid being towed, which wasn't a guarantee that we wouldn't be towed. Knowing that alone I would never have booked at this hotel. Upon arrival I inquired about the pool and they said it was closed. It was not posted anywhere online that the pool was closed and I specifically booked this hotel because I wanted a pool for my kids to use, it's their only request when we travel. Knowing that I would not have stayed at that hotel. The pool did eventually open the night before we left so my kids were able to use it for about 30 minutes, we kept being told it would open the next day and it just wasn't opening. I requested an early check in because we were driving in 6 hours from another vacation spot. We were taking a vacation within our vacation. They ignored my request and I couldn't even do the online check in to get the electronic key. Of note the electronic key could have been an issue with my credit card because I had to change the travel plans to unlock it. I ended up keeping the hotel and declined leaving because everyone was tired after driving 6+ hours. We always stay at hotels with full kitchens because we have food allergies. The kitchen was well stocked with a dishwasher, plates, cookware, etc. There are no trashbags for the trash cans and they do not offer housekeeping so you are literally forced to leave trash on the floor because there is nowhere for it to go. Most Marriott hotels I have stayed at have trash bags in the bins and an extra bag within the bin. Most Marriott hotels with kitchenettes that I have stayed at offer a scrub pad for cleaning dishes, this one had paper towels and dish soap but not a way to clean the dishes which seemed wonky. The room also has a table for eating but it had 0 chairs, there was an office chair, but the photos show actual chairs to sit at so the table was useless for the other 4 people in my party. We checked in and put on the reservation that there were 5 people staying there, but there were only 2 towels in the room. When we asked for more towels they didn't want to give us more, but eventually gave us 3. Why could each person not have a towel? These were the same towels we had to use for our entire stay because there is no housekeeping and they do not give out towels. The couch and bedding has nasty stains. The disposable coffee cups for the coffee machine had been used and put back. The blinds are black out but aren't in the track so they don't actually block out the light and don't run on the track. The closer doors have lights in them but don't fully shut so the light stays on...
