Mi Pueblito Cantina — Restaurant in Wood River

This place is struggling using day old meat with new and when reheating it it’s the pastor meat was charred and torta bread was burnt also don’t waste money here spent $70+ and when called they said would have to bring back the food to see if they would replace it. A simple bring it back and we can remake it would’ve been appropriate or a refund as I ate not one bite of my tacos and only two of the torta. The tortilla chips were even burnt around the edges. Took my girl friend there for her birthday. Asked the waiter if they did anything for someone’s birthday. He was unsure but I asked him if he could find out if they could do something. At the end of our meal the management, waiters and hostess all came over bring a ice cream dish, put a sombrero on her and sung happy birthday to her in 2 languages. This made this one of the best birthdays she ever had. Thank you for going above and beyond to make this special for her. Don’t see this kind of service...

Our server was absolutely stellar! I asked if they offered jalapeño/spicy cheese dip but decided on the regular cheese dip, but he brought me an extra side of a spicier salsa to try, which was phenomenal! The strawberry frozen margaritas are great, large servings, great chips/salsa/cheese dip, piping hot side of tortillas & stellar service. I even shazamed two songs I liked!
