I went in on their very first day. About 90 minutes after they opened. There were about 6 groups in front of me that had already ordered and one person in line. I ordered a large cheese pizza well done which came out to 14.50. It took about 35 minutes to get the food. It really seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. They had straight up forgot to put a lady's pizza in the oven. When I did finally get the pizza, the crust tasted burnt but yet somehow the actual pizza was so soggy. The front half actually ripped off on about bald the slices. They put way way too much (what has to be) cheap shredded cheese on it. It confused me because the pizza was imos thin, cooked well done, but at the same time soggy and disgustingly floppy. It was their first day but you gotta think they practiced before opening. Idk if their oven wasn't hot enough or what. But I won't be back for awhile. They have pizza in their name and need to make a better pie. If they're still around in 6 months I'll give em another shot. If they serve me the same stuff. I'll never be back.

We tried out Venecia's pizza in Wood River, IL tonight. It's in the old Pizza Hut building. You pick up a menu when you walk in and find a seat. Once you decide what you want to eat, you then go up to the counter, order, and pay. You get your own drinks, but they bring the food out to you. We ordered an XL Pepperoni & Mushroom pizza. The outside crust was crisp, but the pizza had a flop to it like a New York style. The toppings were tasty and plenty of cheese. I liked the taste, but I will order extra sauce the next time. The prices are pretty good, too. I took pictures of the menu because I sent them to my son. I got him an XL Venecia's special to go. He liked it.

I really enjoyed the pizza here and I think this place is getting bad reviews because of this area’s poor local palate. No, it’s not provel, no it’s not cracker crust. It’s an east coast inspired Pizza, and that’s the best kind of pizza there is. If you’re a fan of places like Dewey’s or Peel in Edwardsville you’ll love this. That being said, I wish this place used just a little more sauce. Most slices of our pizza had more sauce than the picture I attached but there was 2 almost entirely sauceless slices amongst my family’s 3 pizzas. Owners, if you’re reading this add more sauce and I’ll be back again and again.

Love this pizza place! I have been twice and they make very refreshing pies. The first time I came, I wanted a buffalo chicken pizza but didn't want too much buffalo sauce on it. Their regular buffalo chicken pizza has buffalo sauce as the base, and I thought that might be a bit much for me, so I got their chicken bacon ranch and asked if they could top it with buffalo sauce, and they were very kind to do so. It was excellent. Their crust is very similar to traditional Italian pizza. Crispy, a tad floppy, and soft and chewy crust. Not overly topped. Just a very solid pizza. This time, we ordered their specialty pizza (crabmeat, calamari, and shrimp) with Alfredo sauce, and it too was excellent. A bit on the pricey side for that specific pie, but I would say it’s worth it if you are coming to treat yourselves. We got a medium and it was $20. The medium was plenty for the two of us since we ordered a few other things, but I’m sure we still would have been more than satisfied if we only got that medium. Got some of their bacon Mac and cheese bites which were phenomenal, could have totally made a meal out of those alone. My wife ordered their penne with vodka sauce, and it was delicious as well. Pasta was done very well, still al dente, and very flavorful. Must say, we were both very impressed with how well everything tasted.

The inside is decorated nicely, had some country music playing this time. We sat by the window and the vents were on full blast, so if you’re sensitive to the cold, bring a jacket. The staff were friendly and personable, and very efficient at serving us. Also, as long as you order some food, they will not charge you extra for drinks! Huge plus. Not much else to say besides it’s a great pizza and make sure to give the bacon mac and cheese...

Came in about a week ago order a Venice special but no squid sub for pep, a cheese pizza and a salad. The Venice pizza was made with just squid and pep. I called and let them no and asked to get if it could be fixed. They was super rude about it. My husband came in to get the correct pizza and the younger teenage girls was super rude and snippy about it. Tonight I came in just to get a salad. I asked for a garden salad with the raspberry vinaigrette, they got super rude with me and go so a chef? I said no please just a reg garden , she goes so a chicken? I said no just garden salad…. A different younger girl with pricings goes well only thing close to that would be a side salad only… and had an attitude about it. I said okay that’s fine . Both the younger girls giggled and okay so just salad them? Again with an attitude? I said yes please. She goes I’m guessing to go? I said yes. Whole time I’m getting dirty looks… if it wasn’t for the very rude teenage girls up front we would be back there… but this two times now where they have been super rude… get better workers please. No reason to be rude and hateful to your customers. Great food! Just need...
