I bought beautiful vegetables and fruit, USA scallops, two types of wine and was pleased at the value for the money I paid. My wife regularly shops at the glitzy name brand grocery store. She's very disappointed with the quality of their produce and fruit. She supplements this by shopping at Target Stores. Aldi is a huge winner on many items - especially on store brand chips and snacks. They're less than half price!
In this case, we get a lot more value from Aldi. The store in Wood River is clean and we'll-stocked. Aisles are free of clutter and displays blocking aisles. Read moreLike many of the Aldi's around us I am very happy with this location in particular. I really love the selection here and I love that they have a big selection of not only dairy free options (goat cheese at this location) but also a nice selection of gluten free options as well. It's also always clean and tidy. The shelves are always stocked.
Update: Since the new variant of COVID-19 is upon us the employees are now wearing masks again and I highly approve of this stance.

Read moreI love Aldi but when I went in there yesterday to shop with my grandma it was hectic. There was to many people in there for 1, and only two lanes open. Everyone was touching each other trying to get threw. Now that horrible. On top of that they didn't have wipes out to wipe are carts down so anyone could have been sick. Aldi's need to step up it's game or it's going to start losing a lot of customers. They are not taking there time out of the day to care about there customers and they need to start caring...
