We went to Naan N Curry in Troutdale for the first time on January 11, 2025 and had the BEST dining experience!
We ordered 2 Vegetable Samosas, shared an entree of Aloo Gobi Masala with rice, and a side of Garlic Naan. We also each had a Mango Lassi as our beverage. EVERYTHING was SO DELICIOUS! The Mango Lassis were so yummy, and we asked the server to please bring them without straws as we try and limit our disposable plastic use, and the server kindly accommodated that request. Also, the meal was served with tableware and cloth napkins - a wonderful, and eco-friendly touch that was so appreciated and elevated our dining experience! The Veg Samosas were perhaps the best samosas we have ever had - flaky crust, and the filing was savory with just the perfect amount of spice! The Aloo Gobi Masala (which we ordered to a medium-level of spice) was FANTASTIC! The cauliflower and the potatoes were cooked to PERFECTION with the perfect level of mouth-feel left to them... not soggy and also not crunchy = just PERFECT! Yum, yum, yum!!! The order of Garlic Naan was so scrumptious it is making my mouth water just writing this review about it, and the naan was cut into 6 pieces - a perfect amount for the two of us!
We have been looking for a delicious Indian cuisine restaurant for the 15 years we have lived in the Portland-Gresham-Troutdale area, and I can say that we have now absolutely found our favorite choice! We are going to make this our go-to lunch or dinner option when we are out in the Troutdale area, and you will be so glad if you do too! We can't wait to go back soon and try another of their menu options! Great job, Naan N Curry, your food is made with love and care and we could totally taste that! Also, the server was stellar, kind, and attentive which made our dining experience at Naan N Curry Troutdale delightful! With our gratitude, your new loyal...
Read moreI was heading back home into Portland and was craving Thai food, so I decided to pop into this area to grab some take out from a place I once loved. Sadly, it was no longer there. In it's place is a Russian bakery/store and a soon to be Ukrainian cafe. I was so hungry and knew I needed something somewhat healthy other than eating another burger from The Local Cow or Burgerville. That's when I stepped into Naan N Curry. When I walked into the place, I was wondering if the place was open since I was the only one there and it was nearly 6p.m. I was quickly greeted by the most sweetest server, who was beyond helpful and honest when it came to picking something from their menu, which was a lot to choose from. Finally, I nailed it down to a few things. The food arrived in no time and was beautifully put together. The flavors from the lentils and rice were amazing. The garlic Naan was out of this world, good. Most of all, the server who was working (I wish I could have caught her name before leaving) absolutely made my day. She was down to earth, relatable, and super generous. She asked me a few times "You didn't eat much, are you sure you enjoyed it?" What she didn't see is all the garlic naan I filled up on. I explained to her I recently had colorectal surgery and that my tummy can't take a big meal. She told me to hold on and ran back to the kitchen, a few minutes later she came back with a (to-go) mango, yogurt smoothie that's on their menu. Something I more than likely would have never ordered in the first place, but because of her thoughtful gift, I'm now a huge fan of this drink, too. Overall, I cannot wait to come back and enjoy another meal. I hope to see the sweet woman who was working there tonight as well. She made my day. Thank you. Such a lovely place and...
Read moreI had just finished getting my nails done in the shop next-door. I got in the car, looked up and saw the sign for Nann n Curry. I was so excited to see Indian food in my neighborhood! I hopped out of my car, and went straight inside. The two gentlemen that I met were very kind, and welcoming. They helped me navigate their menu, so that I could order exactly what I was looking for. I got my favorite thing that I loved as a child … chicken curry, rice, and butter Nann. While I waited for my to-go order, I was given a sample taste of their mango lassi. It was absolutely wonderful! I would have stayed to dine in, but I wasn’t even expecting to see it in the first place. The food was packed, neatly, and well. It was hot, and very comforting. The taste took me directly back to my childhood. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. If you like Indian cuisine, and I mean, authentic Indian cuisine, you need to come here! I can’t wait to go back again, and dine in. I told my mother all about it, and while she is here visiting for the holidays, she is so excited to try it. Oh! They also had 15% off your total order for this first month that they are open. Go, and enjoy! You will not be...
