Harvy’s Homemade Style Icecream — Restaurant in Woodbridge Township

My son and I went to get ice cream. The ice cream was good, but it was very pricey. We got (2) small ice cups for $16.00, and that did not include toppings. However, I will not be going back. As we were waiting for the ice cream. An Indian guy walked from the back of the store to the area where the toppings were. He was talking to another employee about the gummy bears. The employee he was talking to handed him a spoon, the indian guy shook his head ,"no" then proceeded to stick his bare hands into the gummy bears, took some out, put them in his mouth and walked to the back of the store. My concern is that if he can do that openly in front of customers, what is he doing in the back of the store while making the ice cream when no one is watching?

Ice cream is very ordinary, toooo sweet . And I agree with other reviews that it's quite expensive. $3 for 1 scoop, $5.5 for 2 and $10 for 4 for basic ice creams. If you go for any of their creations it's like $9 or something. In response to another reviewer, the owner said that this is their break even prices. I respectfully disagree, colonia dairy maid just a few miles away gives you more than double the serving in $10. And I am.not affiliated with them or anything, their taste is only slightly better than this shop's.

If the taste is good then may be you can justify the price. We are local and wanted to try this out in case we could avoid longer trips but it didn't work out. Some of these other reviewers posted 10-20 pictures with an essay of glowing review... lol, probably paid reviews, an average Joe does not have this...

Not sure what all the bad comments are about - I've been here twice and both the ice cream and service has been great every time. I have a slight suspicion of why there's so much hate but I won't go there - instead, I'll speak on my experience.

Not only do they have classic flavors (chocolate, vanilla, double chocolate), but they have exotic flavors (lychee, a few spices) that are done extremely well, and some classic Baskin Robbins-like flavors (rainbow, cookie monster) that don't taste synthetic like Baskin Robbins. In terms of texture, the ice cream and even the sorbets are creamy. There was maybe one bite where I felt some ice flake but that's about it.

Also, they let you try as many samples as you want! The prices are also very fair - two scoops, medium...
