I recently had the pleasure of dining at KarahiWala in Edison, NJ, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The food at KarahiWala is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish is a burst of flavors, showcasing the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Pakistan. I started with the chicken karahi, which was cooked to perfection with tender pieces of chicken simmered in a spicy, aromatic tomato-based sauce. The balance of spices was just right, offering a delightful kick without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients. Next, I tried the lamb biryani, which was equally impressive. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, infused with saffron and a medley of spices that complemented the succulent pieces of lamb. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied. The service at KarahiWala was top-notch. The staff were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also eager to make recommendations based on my preferences. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that my dining experience was both comfortable and enjoyable. In conclusion, KarahiWala in Edison, NJ, offers a delightful culinary journey through Pakistan's rich flavors, paired with excellent service. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Pakistani cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment.

Im clueless on how this restaurant has such a high rating. From food taste to service to quantity of food everything is a ZERO star. Upon entering the restaurant i requested if i can be seated on a specific table. The whole restaurant had one table occupied and basically all of the tables were available. At first i was turned down by saying that those tables are reserved but then the waitress decided to seat us at my requested table but then right away the other waitress from behind started yelling at her about why she is allowing us to sit there. The two waitresses started arguing in front of us while we are waiting to be seated. They end up seating us where they wanted us initially to be seated. We order the food and start to waiting. While waiting we noticed they messed up on orders from the other party that was in the restaurant. After getting our food served, we were surprised at the quantity of Karai we were presented with and it tasted nothing like a karai. Moreover, the meat wasn’t even fully cooked. The mix grill was cold also and definitely not worth the price for the quality. Spent 1.5hrs there and the “reserved” tables were never occupied because nobody walked in while i was there. The ladies working there need to be trained on how to treat customers the right way. One of them at the cashier was on the phone the whole time of my dining. There was just so much wrong with this place that i had to write a review so people can save their money. This place is below average Karai place.

HALAL. Okay, let's talk about Karahi Wala. You know, that place that hits you with a wall of amazing smells the moment you walk in? Yeah, that one. It's not fancy, and honestly, that's part of its charm. It's the kind of place where you go when you're craving something real, something that tastes like it's been cooked with a whole lot of heart. The chicken karahi? Forget about it. Seriously, it's like a hug in a bowl, but a hug that's also giving you a gentle, spicy kick. The chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender, and that gravy? Oh man, that gravy. It's thick, rich, and packed with so much flavor. You can taste the fresh ginger, the chilies, and all those spices that just make your mouth happy. And the naan! Fresh, warm, perfect for scooping up every last bit of that delicious sauce. They understand the importance of good bread there, which is a big plus in my book. Look, it's not a place for a date night where you want to whisper sweet nothings. It's loud, it's bustling, and it's all about the food. You'll probably leave with a bit of a sweat on your brow, but also with a big smile on your face. You might even find yourself wanting to go back the very next day. If you're a fan of authentic Pakistani food, and especially if you love a good, spicy karahi, just go. You won't regret it. Just be prepared to embrace the heat, and maybe order an extra raita to cool things down. You'll thank me later.

This new Pakistani outfit is a great addition to traditional Pakistani food ongoing trend of fine dining in New Jersey. Now unfortunately I have to retract my review posted two months ago. Due to some work related and health related issues it took me 2 months to revisit that I rented and raved about. First of all I was very cuttly0 informed by the staff that this the member of the staff who once introduced myself as Ahmed does not even work there there is no person with that name nor the owner . While he was informing a young good looking man walked in and passed right by our table. On inquiry waiting for me that was the actual owner and we left the conversation at that bit as I showed him my review and said this was a review I wrote based on the service and the food that we had and I think your owner should need to know. The young man whether he was informed or not arrogantly sat on right across from us and just didn't pay any attentionI . I am considered as in the top and 10% of the reviewers of Google in various categories. Having that said that does not mean to throw my weight around but just to happy that I'm at the place that I reviewed for and so ravishly as well. This time it was a different story first of all they never informed in the owner then if I didn't existed there and neither did he acknowledge soon after that the whole restaurant just started coming apart there was a leak from the air conditioner split right on the top of our tables and drenched my my wife's clothes and we had to personally ourselves no relocats us. Nobody from the staff and the presumed owner who disappeared somewhere came to our assistance we informed them that there was a flood underneath our table not only that but the table right next to us being affected by the same flood situation as it was making itself over to the rest of the restaurant. They were relocated I just staff luckily , The cleaning crew give me the map somewhere around when we are having dessert maybe 15 minutes after the factcome even after Now comes the food which was as expected really good but the service was not at par because several people were taking care of things that were not even associated with serving of food meetings of some natures. So wel had eally good food at the mercy of the servers who apologetically informed us that he was hired only a month earlier and the crew is not trained well that at that time. That is not a problem but now the biggest surprise of all times four of us had two appetizers four nuns and two desserts The total bill was$192 with $27 charge for service considered to be assumed as an attribution for a tip. And another $13 thrown in for using a credit card. I do really understand the economical burden on everybody around us. But the restaurants have to be very careful in how to serve people and take care of the environment for the least measure. Not paying attention to the customer's needs not bring it to the attention of the owner that incomes a person who reviewed you so heavily. Nobody is asking you for any comps but for the fact that we are proud to have be in a setting that I reviewed for so nicely. So my sincere request to the owner pay attention to their restaurant before people start charging their mind about venturing to your place. All the luck and I mean ithat sincerely from the bottom of my heart. It would be a loss for the people to experience such delightful,, delicious and...

If your looking for the best of the best authentic Pakistani food, look no further. Order the naan, you will be blown away with how large it is made and how good it taste. I ordered lamb chops and loved them so much I ordered a second. Service: 10/10 Food :10/10 Cleanliness :10/10 (beautiful resturant, decor, clean and newly built resturant, bathroom was spotless) Price: Good, given the quality of food, I was expecting the price to be higher. A great place to hold a dinner for an entire family, I had my three children and inlaws. Total of 9 people, did not feel uncomfortable, especially with the fact that this place is child friendly.

If your going to claim to have tried the best pakistani food, especially if your a Karahi fan, you have to check this spot out. My brother in law ordered the goat karahi, I do not eat goat, but tried it and ended up eating a whole plate of it.

Would give this place a 100% on my top tier of pakistani resturants in New York/New Jersey.

6/17/2024 I decided to come back and edit my review, after visiting again tonight and once again experiencing amazing food. First and foremost, I have no affiliation with the resturant regarding its business and ownership. I have visited the resturant now for a 5th time and not surprised to see that it was very busy and hard to get a table in comparison to when it opened less than a month or so ago. Today is fathers day and Eid, it was the first time I had to find parking since all the spots were taken up. Despite the resturant being busy, the waitress who recognizes me, came out her way to greet me and my extended family. There was a wait but what good resturant does not have a waiting time? Bashing a resturant for having a long wait time shows how bitter people are when they do not get what they want.

Some of these negative reviews are just as fake as the people who wrote them, its obvious many of them are affiliated with other Pakistani resturants in the area that are feeling the pressure now.

Regarding the prices: You get what you pay for, what great resturant does not charge according to the quality and demand of their food?

Now back to my experience, this time I had a group of 15 people with me, about 7 little kids and 8 adults. Yes, we waited, but we had a great time, the food was once again amazing. The food took time to come but it was fresh and made right there rather than reheated like some of the other pakistani resturants do. They sent out baskets of fried lahori fish (which was exceptionally amazing) and french fries for the kids to munch on while waiting which was nice since they knew our group was large and the kids were hungry. Its the little gestures like this which make it worth coming back here over and over again.

I hope reading this, you realize that this is not a fake review as some of the haters wrote earlier, I am thankful that this resturant opened up and has now become a hot spot for authenthic and amazing, delicious food.

P.S : This time I tried the fried ice cream for dessert, last week I had the halwva and ice cream. Mark my words, if this resturant does not take the title for the best karahi across NJ, it will def take the title for the best...

Exceptional , phenominal, authentic

2025: Prepare Your Taste Buds for an Unforgettable Culinary Journey! Forget everything you thought you knew about Pakistani cuisine, because Karahi Wala is about to blow your mind! This isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience, a vibrant celebration of authentic Pakistani flavors that will transport you straight to the heart of Punjab with every incredible bite. From the moment you step through the doors, you're not just a customer; you're family. We were personally welcomed by the incredibly humble and genuinely kind owner – a true gem whose dedication to ensuring every guest has a phenomenal experience shines through in every detail. Seriously, his warmth alone makes this place a must-visit! And then, the food. Oh, the food! We kicked off our feast with refreshing mint mojitos, setting the stage for the culinary masterpiece that followed: a glorious tawa platter for four. Each succulent bite was a testament to true Pakistani heritage, bursting with flavors so profound and finesse so remarkable, it's clear the chefs here are nothing short of culinary artists. The chicken biryani was full of flavors, fried fish was awesome, and the cheese-filled sheesh kebab? An absolute revelation! This isn't just food; it's a symphony of spices and textures that will leave you utterly speechless. Even as someone who is incredibly particular about authentic Pakistani cuisine, I can confidently say that this place doesn't just meet expectations – it shatters them. The proof is in the food, or rather, in my friends having to reach for sodas because they simply couldn't stop eating! To cap off this extraordinary meal, we indulged in the unique delight of coconut fried ice cream and traditional chai, a perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable dinner. The service throughout was absolutely top-notch, seamless and attentive without being intrusive. This isn't a one-off fluke either! My 2024 review raved about the same consistent quality, a testament to the brilliant team of chefs and servers who consistently deliver excellence. Do yourself a massive favor: YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST EXPERIENCE KARAHI WALA FOR YOURSELF! Prepare for a dining experience that will redefine your understanding of authentic, mind-blowingly delicious Pakistani food. You won't regret it!

2024 experience: Chicken karahi was ok. But it was our fault, It seems like they kept it on the stove for too long to keep it warm and it got a little messed up. Maybe because we placed order in advance and gave our eta which was very close to their closing hour. So possibly they prepped it and kept it warm, which kind of shredded the chicken pieces. Otherwise, it was acceptable.

Goat karahi was great, and the lamb chops were excellent. I can visit again for lamb chops for sure.

However, the management was very amazing to cater us late at night, past their...
