Manna Sushi — Restaurant in Woodbridge Township

Manna Sushi is a tasty, generously portioned, and friendly family-run Japanese restaurant.

Thanks to Google Maps and the 4.9 star rating for this establishment, my family and I discovered Manna Sushi during the COVID-19 pandemic. Back then, they were only serving take out and I enjoyed the high quality and generously large nigiri sushi pieces all at a reasonable price.

The dining room just reopened on 04/03/2022 after being closed since March 2020. It was my wife's and my first time dining in here and it was a pleasant experience.

I ordered the Sushi Deluxe (10pc nigiri sushi with a yellowtail roll, upgraded from the regular tuna roll for a small surcharge) and my wife ordered their Chirashi. Every piece was delicious and larger than expected. The presentations for both entrees were quite entertaining and mood elevating, as seen in the attached pictures. Both orders came with miso soup and a side salad. They also provided a complimentary shredded kani on a fried crisp starter along with complimentary mochi ice creams and candies after our meal. If you order hot tea, they provide free refills. I mentioned it was my birthday the day before and they were nice enough to bring out an extra treat.

We chatted with the owner and realized it's a family-run business and they had to close just 5 months after opening due to COVID. We're thankful that they were able to survive! The employees here are all family members and are very friendly, warm, and provide excellent service. This will be our new family sushi spot from now on.

There is free parking here, no wait (we went on a Wednesday evening), have a restroom, and they accept credit cards.

I would highly recommend Manna Sushi. I ordered approx 30+ Bento specials for my family after our prayer at St. Gertrude. Due to the pandemic, I thought it was easier to order this way so each family member could pick up their lunch and social distance at their homes. We ordered either beef, chicken, salmon, shrimp or tofu teriyaki and it came with assorted vegetables underneath. The lunch included miso soup, salad, shumai, California rolls, and rice. I wish I had taken a picture of the food. It was beautifully presented and delicious! They were so helpful in making sure each order was correct and had everything including chopsticks, utensils and napkins. We were very impressed and now my aunt wants to order too for her next event. Such a nice place and experience, they deserve their rating! I'm not from the area, but I wish they'd open a location in South Jersey. Family owned, and just very nice people.

I was lucky enough to come when they weren't busy at 9pm, my brother told me they get packed during regular hours. Honestly, the sushi ala cart is where it's at, best scallop I've had and my second favorite. The Toro hand roll was my favorite/amazing, specialty rolls reasonably priced too.
