Went through the drive through and asked if I could get a twist (chocolate and vanilla) in a cup, with brownie toppings. She must not have heard me, because she asked me to repeat myself - so I did, and she said they couldn’t do that, and they would have to charge me a sundae for that. I said, “okay, so can I just be charged for a sundae, and get exactly what I asked for?” She then says, “So you want a twist, in a cone, in a cup, with brownies?” - to which I said, “no, I want (a twist) in a cup with brownie toppings, nothing else.” And she goes.. “that’s a sundae?”, and I said (very confused at this point), “okay, so can I please be charged for a sundae, and just get the twist with brownie toppings?” THEN she says, VERY condescendingly, “Ma’am that IS a sundae - a sundae is the ice cream of your choice, in a cup, with the topping of your choice!” At this point I just decided I didn’t want anything they had to offer, because she clearly didn’t want to admit she misunderstood my first question. If I described EXACTLY what a sundae is when I asked for what I initially wanted, and then you say you cannot do that, don’t be upset with me for being confused when you tell me that I’m describing a sundae in a condescending voice. ADMIT that you misunderstood what I asked for in the first place, and say “of course we can make you that ma’am, what you are wanting is exactly how we make our sundaes!” Then you would have someone that happily wants what you have to offer, and doesn’t leave because of...
Read moreI had a burger there today (Oct, 2024) it was reminiscent of a middle school cafeteria burger. There were almost no redeeming qualities. The bun was somewhat stale, the lettuce was on the verge, the sauce was almost nonexistent and the meat was unidentifiable. Idk what parts the meat was made from but it was airy, over processed and not good. The color of the meat was a weird light gray. There was a smell emanating from the bag with my burger in it that was chemical smelling and very off-putting.
The milkshake was good, it was a small milkshake with one flavor that was almost $7.00, so there's that.
The service was fine, I'm not one to expect big greetings and conversation. They're busy, I have places to be, so a 'thank you' or 'have a nice day's is more than sufficient. They did seem to be oddly busy with nobody in the lobby or the drive thru line but it's to be expected with as little as people are paid to even be there.
I really wanted to like it! I have childhood memories of Arctic Circle and there aren't many of them left in my area, but sadly this is just not it. I won't eat at most other fast food places because of the non existent quality in the food and poor policy but sadly this is another one...
Read moreArctic circle has been around a long time and I usually enjoy my visits. This time was not one of them. I ordered a 6 dollar chicken sandwich and I got a processed (mechanically separated chicken pieces) chicken patty. This price point demands real white-meat chicken breast. We also ordered a bag of burgers. The burgers were good but were mutilated. The buns were torn and several were deconstructed like they had been dropped and stepped on. We also ordered a mushroom and swiss and the mushrooms were processed from a can. We ordered 5 ice cream cones with two of them dipped. After waited a while and cars backing up behind us we were told the chocolate was not sticking to the cones. Then we waited another several minutes for them to bring us one cone and another 5 minutes for cone #2. Then they told us their ice cream machine was having problems and refunded us for the others.
Have to say that I may not come back as much as I like patronizing small businesses and local chains. I hope they can turn it around. Spending 35 for lunch for me and the kids and getting what we did was disappointing. We ended up going to another restaurant to get a...
