When going out to eat dinner with a family of 7 at El Sarandeado we were very disappointed of the quality of the food. This wasn't our first visit but might be our last. I will speak about my food order. I ordered myself a super burrito because mainly of the guacamole on the picture and the description. To my surprise when I received my burrito it looked very sad, NO GUACAMOLE! I asked the server where was the guacamole and she replied that it has been a year since they don't put guacamole on the burrito. I was shocked! Normally I would not say anything and eat it but I was unhappy so I said something. I told the server I wanted to order a different item instead. So I ordered myself a cocktail shrimp. They took forever to get my order, when my order came all my family was done eating there dinner and they were putting up the chairs indicating they were about to close. So I had to request my order to go because they were closing the place. While my wife drove home I ate my dinner, to my surprise my dinner tasted horrible. This restaurant used to be a 5 star but now it's a 1 star. Hope everyone speaks out when you're not satisfied, especially for false...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite place to bring my family for some good Mexican food. But after how we were treated today i will never come back and i wont refer this place to anyone. Worst customer service. We drove an hour only for them to tell us they were already closed even tho the sign says they close at 7pm and google also says they close at 7pm. We arrived at 6pm. The place still had people seated and they were taking to go orders cause she asked me if i had ordered to go. The lady says "we have our reasons to close now even if that sign says 7pm.l" I dont understand what the difference would've been for us to sit and order and eat there when other people were still inside eating and their sign says they close at 7. I drove My 86 year old grandmother, and 4 others else where and we wont ever come back! ...
Read moreThis place!!! I don't generally go out for Mexican food, well, because I make killer Mexican food at home. However, IF I am looking to eat this type of food, El Sarandeado is it! My favorite dish...camarones al Chile de arbol. I always ask for a lot of chilies (I don't eat them, I set them aside but they make my shrimp nice and spicy), and I ask for extra grilled onion. It comes with rice and beans, which are very tasty, and homemade corn tortillas. I also ask for a chavela, which is like a michelada, except that this one comes with cocktail shrimp on the rim. YUM! Ask for your chavela "estilo alex" (Alex style) for a special treat. It has piles of shrimp. I prefer my chavela with negra modelo. The restaurant itself is taqueria style, it's an old building in woodburn, but the food is absolutely delicious. A...
