This place is a PERFECT example of WANTS TO LOOK PRETTY BUT HAS no actually quality FOR FOOD. I felt disgusted even giving this place 1 star because of my 1st experience here. First things first, I drove 10 min out of the way to get a breakfast sandwich nearby and this was what was open and closest. I arrive, first off the young woman (I say young because she looked in early 20s maybe ) behind the counter and she didn't even say hello or greet me or even say someone will be out to take your order. NOTHING. She just stared at me gave me a look and silence. Then i see a young man just slowly walks over to the register stops right in front of me and....... NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. NO GREETING NO ASKING WHAT CAN I GET YOU? My response to this is "UM okayyy."? So I order a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel toasted. Wait for my order and when i open it , am not surprised at all. The sandwich ( if you want to call it that) was on a dried up stale bagel ONE egg on this 6 dollar sandwich with a slice of cheese. The picture doesn't even do justice. I honestly would've shoved it in my mouth and delt with it because I was so hungry but I was so turned off by these employees attitudes with absolutely no customer service skills, these younger generations have this entitlement these days and it's so ridiculous. They have no work ethic they're spoiled and just want the money from the job but don't even actually care about their job or even know what hard manual labor actually is. LOL. I put that bacon egg and cheese right where it belonged and where these employees belong.... in the garbage. 🗑 and walked out . Ask me if I'll be returning? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

However, the dynamics of the establishment have notably shifted since the change in ownership. I've visited the shop eight times since the transition, and unfortunately, each visit has been marred by consistently receiving the wrong order.
No matter how clearly I state my desired bagel and cream cheese type, the register staff consistently input incorrect information, leading to a frustrating outcome. Even when I attempt to correct the order, it often remains inaccurate, either in terms of the bagel or the cream cheese variety. One instance stands out when I tried to order a lunch sandwich from their listed options, only to be told they had no lunch meat at all, despite the person behind me successfully ordering a sandwich with lunch meat.
The issue appears to be a recurring theme among the staff, struggling to accurately capture and fulfill orders. I've witnessed them making similar mistakes with other customers, further highlighting the need for better training and procedures. For instance, I observed a mix-up in an order for a gentleman who ordered breakfast for his working crew. He requested several orders of a breakfast plate, but the order was combined into one, without the necessary to-go containers. When he requested plates and cutlery to manage the situation, the staff member was unable to assist.
Despite these issues, I believe this bagel shop has tremendous potential and holds a special place in our town's culinary landscape. I sincerely hope the new owners prioritize staff training and streamline their processes to preserve this beloved institution. Read moreI usually really love going here but my past few visits have been disappointing. 3x ordering avocado toast with Bacon and not getting bacon that was paid for. This time I opened my online to go order before leaving and discovered that there was again no bacon, and The Big house Salad that I always order ( and its saved as recent orders in my app) had no meat or cheese, or extra balsamic that I ordered and paid for. I waited at the counter for 5-6 minutes before being helped ( I finally asked if they could get someone) only to learn that that salad although still pictured on the ordering app w/meat and cheese no longer came with meat or cheese..so its basically a garden salad now. I really never complain about this stuff but there have been at least 3x in recent weeks that instructions printed on the online order receipt were not followed. I was told they thought the extra dressing add on was a 'Typo" Last week I ordered coffee and pastry/bagels for my office and when I got back the pastry wasn't in the bag, I called and the girl said that she forgot to give it to me. I had an online order for a garlic bagel with ceam cheese, when I got there it was a plain bagel.. they said they ran out of those so just made me a plain one, i would have rather waited and let them, ask me if I wanted another flavor or something else entirely, as plain bagels are really not my jam.
