𝑨𝒚𝒍𝒂’𝒔 𝑩𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒔 & 𝑪𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒆 𝚆𝚘𝚘𝚍𝚋𝚞𝚛𝚢, 𝙲𝚃 • We stumbled upon Ayla’s a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love. It is a woman owned, vegan friendly, coffee bar to which they roast their own coffee beans and make their own plant-based milks, all in house! We cannot say enough good things about the staff and baristas, they are attentive to every customer that walks in their door and treats everyone like family • 📸 𝓗𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓭𝓪𝔂 𝓓𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓴 𝓜𝓮𝓷𝓾 𝗔𝘆𝗹𝗮’𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗽 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮’𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝓕𝓸𝓸𝓭 𝗦𝗘𝗚 𝘄/ 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗴𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗿𝗮𝗽 • @Ayla’s :) is #hangryapproved • • #ctfoodie #ctfoodies #bagel #bagelsandwich #coffee #premiumcoffee #vegan #veganfriendly #connecticutfoodie #connecticut #connecticutgram #foodie #foodblog #coffeect #coffeelover #coffeeshop #chickenwrap #veganfood #ctvegan

Delicious plant based options!! Don't miss the impressive vegan Trifecta on a toasted bagel, with just egg, impossible sausage, and what looks like violife cheddar slices. Doctor it up with ketchup salt and pepper. They have a dark roast Cliff Walk coffee that was amazing for brewed coffee, and oat or almond milk in the refrigerators, depending on the day. They also do a classic toasted bagel with vegan cream cheese, the vegetable cream cheese is more of like a roasted pepper and carrot and it was delicious, but they were sold out the next two times I went. They have a Mediterranean bagel with hummus and roasted red peppers, and a number of vegan soup and quiche options. They're also working with a baker to provide vegan baked goods. Last time I went they were sold out of the oatmeal raisin cookies which are a favorite of mine. If you are vegan, or just looking for some delicious plant-based breakfast/lunch options, this should be your go-to spot if you are anywhere in the Woodbury Southbury Middlebury area. Please patronize them so that they can invest more in delicious plant-based options because they really care.

Ayla’s is a treasure: adorable kids working there, new seasonal drinks all the time, tons of delicious options. I’ve had all the vegan items on the menu and would re-order each of them. My go-to is a toasted onion bagel with vegan cream cheese and slices of tomato. It’s not on the menu but they really try to accommodate customized orders. Oh, and if you want hash browns made vegan, just specify and they’ll make them without butter for you. It’s true, sometimes there’s a wait. For reviewers who have seemingly never been outside of small towns: that’s how you know a place is popular! The food is freshly prepared and hot, in part due to how busy they are. It’s not a bad thing! The owner cares so much, and it shows. My only complaint is the map on the wall, which ridiculously erases Djibouti, Sudan and South Sudan and labels them as Ethiopia, which is actually pictured to the east but has no label. But that says more about how nerdy I am than what kind of experience you’ll have at Ayla’s. Come. Eat. Enjoy. My favorite place in the whole area to sit for an afternoon of writing and research.

1st time here, and I ordered pick up. Was going off reviews and photos. I love supporting local businesses, but I'm not sure I will order here again, but maybe next time, I will try eating there. My main disappointment was my almond croissant. What I got and what was pictured on the menu, and here are two different things. Maybe it is a substitute? Not sure, but it's disappointing when your tastebuds are set on something. The hashbrown was swimming in butter and had a few bacon crumbles on it. Wished I was able to capture that photo before it was tossed out. Not, sure if that is how it comes or if it is just a transfer from other food being made. Sucks for vegans. Again, my 1st time here, and I only have the photos on the menu to go by. I really want to enjoy this place, but I'd like to have some clarification on the menu items. I refuse to buy anything Dunkin, and Starbucks has been my go-to spot forever. I like strong coffee and shots of espresso, and so far they are the only ones that provide that, unless I make it at home. Next time, I just need to eat there and see how things are.

I’m so sad to write this but the amount of wasted money we’ve spend here is disturbing. This is suppose to be an oatmilk latte. It’s not even drinkable. The place is overly crowded and there is no one to hear your complaints. The last order we had was completely wrong, they gave us a bacon, egg and cheese when we ordered a vegan trifecta. As longtime residents of Woodbury we watched this little charming coffee shop run by charismatic, kind people turn into an overpriced bougie coffee place run by people who can care less what they are serving. Quantity over quality appears to be is the new vibe. No one appears to be managing this restaurant and there is zero quality control or consistency over the products being provided. We have continued to try and give this place a chance, hoping it would improve but we are no longer willing to waste our money supporting this business.

My favorite coffee shop in CT so far. Very modern. Very new. Very inviting. They have lots of different drinks and flavors. Great coffee taste. Yummy pastries. GREAT price. I’ll have to try their bagels and deli’s next time!
