Cafe Sweets — Restaurant in Woodhaven

Back in May I posted a 5 star review on cafe sweets. 1st I must say shes very talented&in some cases her attn to detail exceeded my expectations. I have ordered 3 cakes&3 dozen cupcakes since May of 2017. The very 1st cake looked nothing like I wanted but it was still beautiful. I very specific though when I said I wanted regular buttercream and not "better than buttercream" which is her standard. She ignored that request. She said let me make it up to you with $10 off your next order & I agreed. However my next order I didnt recieve the discount. My fathers day cupcakes looked awsome but again requested traditional buttercream and didnt get it. My daughters birthday cake and 2 dozen cupcakes looked amazing and I was again very specific with the frosting. Again I didn't get traditional buttercream like I had asked. This time it really hurt my feelings because people at the party loved the taste of the cake and the way it looked but commented on how they dont like her standard frosting & I dont either. It's very oily and almost reminds me of a whipped frosting. Now the last cake. I sent a pic of a very colorful cake & said I wanted regular buttercream. I picked up the cake and she showed it to me very quickly. I always feel like shes rushing you out the door before you can say anything. I did say perfect but walked to my car and pulled over on the next street to look at the cake more closely . I thought maybe she did a colorful border on the bottom of the cake at least. But she didnt. Not sure how you go from a super colorful cake to all gray. I didnt even care that the sewer wasnt raised but it's not really similar to what I wanted. I wanted something colorful. And I could tell b4 we even cut the cake that it's not the frosting I asked for!! Again people commented on the taste and texture of the frosting and how they didnt care for it. (Cake always taste good &moist) I will not be returning to Cafe Sweets. Not 1 order has had the frosting I've asked for. I'm super...

Had to call this place the day before my kids birthday because I forgot to get the Bluey cake. No local big stores that I was told would do it were able so I called them because of reviews and location. Not only were they able to make a half sheet cake with like a 12ish hr notice but they did a phenomenal job. Everyone loved the icing and cake. The cake wasn't dry at all and the buttercream frosting was the light frosting and a perfect sweet that wasn't overwhelming. If your looking for a custom cake definitely give them a shot. Also, when I picked up the cake the inside is very nicely decorated and they even got a little stand with cool 3d printed items for sale. Will definitely use this place again...

I just recently had a cake made from Bridgett for my daughters 12th birthday party and it was literally ON POINT! I sent her a picture of exactly what I wanted and the cake was just that, absolutely perfect! Not only that it was delicious! I still have half the cake in my freezer and my daughter and I snag a piece every now and then and it's still so good. Everyone at the party absolutely loved it, and my daughter being a huge fortnite fanatic said it was the best cake she's had so far. I HIGHLY recommend getting a cake from Cafe Sweets, pricing was very reasonable as well. I'll def be ordering a cake...
