My visit was on a Monday morning around 8:00. The place was almost empty. A waitress told me to sit wherever I desired. There were two waitresses on hand. Staff was very attentive and all neat in appearance. It had been since the spring that I had been here last. The menu had a decent choice of items. I picked the #1 Mini Breakfast Special. This included: Two eggs, Choice of meat ( I chose Ham), Grits and toast. Coffee as usual is extra. Wait time between ordering delivery was minimal. Staff paid attention and refilled my coffee twice and inquired about my meal as well. My plate appeared full due to the nice arrangement of the items. The eggs came cooked as ordered though almost over well. Whites thoroughly cooked, yolks barely releasing any yellow/orange goodness. Grits were thick but not lumpy. My two pieces of ham were heated through and lightly browned from the grill. Fat had been trimmed away. The wheat toast was nicely buttered and had some remaining butter on the tops of each slice. Coffee was average. Atmosphere Sparta Family Dining is located on West Road near the corner of Hall Road. There are an adequate number of tables and booths. Very plain inside with the absent televisions usually found in most places. I found the quietness nice. Noise Level Very quiet due to amount of customers present (7 at time of visit). Meal #1 Mini Breakfast Special (Two Eggs with bacon, ham, grits, toast and jelly.) $3.59. Coffee #2.09 extra Total $6.03 Average price Wheelchair Access* The restaurant is at street level, seating is at normal levels. Small step up to sidewalk but must maneuver around parking curbs There are public restrooms My Rating: 1 Star Ratings range from zero to four stars. Zero is poor, One star, good. Two stars, very good. Three stars, excellent. Four stars, extraordinary

Little diner across from Big Boy. Figured we would give it a try because we prefer to support local owners over franchise places, so we left Big Boy and went across the street to here. The wife ordered the skillet over easy and said it was good. I ordered the large breakfast special over medium (no slime in white) they came over easy....I've found over my many years that very few short order cooks know how to cook eggs properly. I wasn't as happy with my breakfast...stated home fries, but it was hashbrowns. I guess home fries definition depends on who you ask. Usually, it's cubed potatoes to me ?

Great little family restaurant tucked away in a non-descript shopping strip. Don't be fooled by the outside. It's well worth your stock. Lots of regulars from the area have known the secret for years. They have a great menu with lots of selections and all their portions are very generous. We stopped for breakfast and everything was delicious. My only issue was the bathroom, it definitely needed cleaning.

It is a nice restaurant, on the smaller side which was fine with us. Most of the prices were on par with other family restaurants. They did have a few more expensive items, but to keep things in perspective, the more expensive dishes were things you don't usually see at a family restaurant, like Salmon as a seafood choice. The menu is big and there are a lot of choices. They use Dearborn ham in their chef salad and that was awesome. The place was clean the overhead vents were spotless ( try finding that anywhere else.) The bathrooms were also clean and we...
