Heading home from visiting the ilani casino in Cowlitz. Googled breakfast diner’s and this place popped up with 4.7/5 stars so we thought we’d take a look and WOW this place did not disappoint! Free parking and it wasn’t too crowded. We probably got there around 10:45am-11am on a Thursday. The server welcomed us and told us to take a seat anywhere so we picked a booth. Took a look around and saw many beautiful portraits of military personnel from different decades and different branches! So cool. I ordered the traditional breakfast which included 4 pieces of bacon, 2 eggs, hash browns, and toast. My partner ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Our servers were so friendly and had excellent customer service. Coffee and waters were always full. Food portions and taste were excellent. Overall great experience and I thoroughly enjoy a good small-town diner. Would 10/10 stop here again if driving north/south in Washington! Thank you Matt & Mandy’s Diner!

This is their smaller portioned biscuits & gravy plate. It cost almost $15⁰⁰ for the coffee & meal which was pretty good (they do work hard to be as reasonably priced as possible) . I love how they're a veteran’s family dinner & how they're always full of chattering. Dinner itself is cozy, it's was pretty chaotic -in the best way with music & constant chattering- when I went there. I personally tipped the waiter 2⁰⁰ that day because she was working front by herself & it was a morning rush. Highly recommend bringing your patriotic people here because it's an instant hit: there’s pictures of veterans covering nearly every speck of every wall, they decorate early for memorial & 4th of July, and they're a very "proud of freedom" type of space. Also, their serving sizes are way large so reccomend going for brunches if you'd like to eat a full sized plate (mine's a smaller appetite plate).

We have been coming here since it was America's Family Diner. The food is always amazing. As a breakfast spot, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you happen to go in on a Sunday, then you can order the special omelets. One of which is the crab and spinach. It is sooooo good! The service is fantastic. You really feel like family here. The restaurant is super cozy, not huge, and is adorned with photos of our precious veterans. Eggs are always cooked to perfection, and the pancakes are some of the best you'll ever have. Coffee is always served hot, and the hashbrowns are never overcooked. Parking is not too bad, but the place can get busy at prime eating times. Recommend going in super early.

I have ordered from this diner several times and today is the day I finally say something. The consistency of quality and the portion size are commendable! And the pure vibration of love that goes into these dishes is soul filling. I personally have a fancy for their biscuits & gravy with a side of bacon and each and every time it has been consistent in quality and portion size! I have found that on the days when food just does not sound good or fulfilling I end up craving Matt & Mandy’s.

Today, the customer service is the highlight, not just the food. I had a medical appointment that ended with quite a bit of pain, emotional and physical. On the way back to my mothers house (she drove) we stopped to grab my favorite comfort meal & she ran in to grab it for me. I’m not sure of specifics but essentially my mom and the woman helping her got into a small conversation about the pictures of our HEROS on the walls of the diner. My mom asked if she could bring in a photo of my late grandfather(Vietnam veteran) to which was welcomed with a kindness we are unfamiliar with. That kindness moved her to tears, and genuinely moved me as well. Thank you all for wonderful meals, and a home for local hero’s that shouldn’t be forgotten. It means the world to us families that get to see them...

Matt and Mandy's Family Diner is great small-town diner with a patriotic decor. The walls are covered in pictures of servicemen and servicewomen from the past and present, many of them locals to the area. Unsurprisingly, this is also a popular place for veterans. I especially appreciated that the diner focused heavily on promoting local businesses on a small TV that hangs over the entrance to the kitchen.

We were happy with most of the food we ordered and the prices were fair for the quality and portion size. The veggie omelet was delicious and the Can't Decide is a perfect choice if you, well... can't decide from their numerous options on the menu. The pancakes were a little too dry for my taste, but I'm willing to try them again. The french toast was plain and a little disappointing. They make a marionberry syrup in-house that I highly recommend trying with the pancakes.

The service was friendly and attentive, and our waitress went out of her way to make us feel welcome despite how busy it was.

The only downside is that the restaurant is fairly small, so the tables are a bit small and the restaurant gets crowded when it's busy. If you don't mind that, then you'll love this place for breakfast!

We plan to visit again soon when we're in the mood for a...

My wife and I found this place while visiting Woodland for the Lilac festival and we will surely come back! I had the Dare Ya! sandwich and I must say it was the best sandwich I have had in a very long time. Grilled tender roast beef, ham, 3 cheeses and a delicious roasted Ortega chili that adds a surprisingly delicious burst of flavor. My wife had the BLT, the bacon was a little over cooked, but it was still a good sandwich overall and my daughter had the homemade kids Mac & cheese. The Mac & Cheese had yummy, gooey and cheesy through out and both my daughter and wife loved it. Lastly, they had home made lemonades that were not cheap on the fruit, we got both the strawberry and blue berry.

The inside is a bit small, but completely patriotic with personal pictures of service men and women all over the walls. The bathroom has an entrance from the outside, but was very clean. We sat outside under the tent and enjoyed the weather and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. I can not recommend this...
