I have heard that they are trying to bring back the Oak Tree like it was years ago but they have seriously missed the mark. Not enough front staff to get customers seated in a timely manner and I never saw a floor manager out helping to direct staff or customers. The wait time was overly long to get seated and for the food to come out of the kitchen. Then there was the food. My husband ordered the “Beefsteak” for $18.95. It had a very nice gravy with mushrooms (which were not listed in the description) but what we expected to be a cube steak or something similar turned out to be two pre-formed cook-from-frozen hamburger patties. They were marginal at best and not worth the price. Moderately ok points were the sides. The green beans were canned but nicely doctored with bacon and onions and the mashed potatoes were good. The mini-loaf of bread the restaurant was famous for was hard and dry. They keep them under a warming light in the kitchen but with nothing to keep them from drying out. We did have to make a point to ask for the bread which is supposed to come with the dinner automatically. We both ordered side salads (extra cost) that we were hoping to get before our meals but they actually came out directly after our entrées were delivered. They were fresh but obviously bagged salad mix. I ordered the chicken strip dinner. I make the point because they have a “value” portion for $12.50 which is two strips, fries and a biscuit. The “dinner” was $15.95 and came with fries. And two and 1/2 chicken strips. And nothing else. So I paid $3.45 for what amounted to less food. They might have some dishes that live up to the reputation that was built over years but these two missed by a mile!

Great food for the price, lots of growth potential. My wife and I went on Sunday for breakfast, she had one of their specialty items and I had a custom omelette. My coffee tasted burnt and I didn't expect the omelette to look the way it did but it was good and my wife's potatoes O'Brien were phenomenal, I highly recommend them. On Friday (today) we went back for the dinner menu, she ordered the old fashioned meatloaf and I ordered the prime rib special. My old fashioned dink was very well made and the service was as helpful as it could be during a huge dinner rush. Unfortunately they made a mixup and brought my wife the pot roast initially, which was an easy mistake as the meatloaf looked identical and it was so finely minced, the issue was very quickly resolved. Our dinners were delicious, and while I know the greens were canned, for the price and taste you can't complain. What brought the quality down of all our dishes was the fact the garnish was clearly bagged salad mix and It would have been better to have no garnish at all. The pool table needs to be refelted and we wished someone was playing the piano... But for a business that's been open for only a month they are doing their absolute best and reviewers should take that into account. The staff is friendly and giving 110% I feel like the new oak tree owners will be successful if they keep adapting and growing their business and quality where they can while being very attractive with their costs.

Nestled in a cozy corner, this restaurant wraps you in a warm, inviting embrace the moment you step inside, with an old-school ambiance that feels like a comforting hug from a bygone era—perfect for a family outing or a relaxed meal with loved ones. The wait time is refreshingly short, so you’re quickly seated and ready to dive into their wholesome, hearty menu. Every dish is crafted with care, brimming with soul-warming flavors that leave you full and content, often with a to-go plate in hand for later indulgence. Their expansive menu offers something for everyone that won’t break the bank, from the mouthwatering Country Mess to the crispy, golden Chicken and Waffles, and the decadent Cinnamon Bun French Toast—each bite is a delicious, satisfying treat that lingers in the best way. This is the kind of place where memories are made, with food that nourishes both body and soul, perfect for sharing with family or friends in a setting that feels like home. Did I mention it’s family owned? Izzy is always our favorite server, you can’t miss her, she’s always embracing and smiling. Our favorite family breakfast sanctuary.

Oak Tree is open again.Should have stayed closed. Went with wife, brother in-law @ sister in-law. We were sat and given menus, didn't list beverages, had to ask server to recite them. Dinners ordered were lasagna, fettuccine, chicken fried steak and fried chicken. Lasagna had very little flavor, where is the sauce, looked like just cheese and noodles. Garlic bread was best thing about that meal. Fettuccine hardly had any alfredo sauce. Garlic bread had no garlic butter. Chicken fried steak was fine. The menu said served with mashed potatoes. Received garlic mashed with white gravey. I had the fried chicken, took one bite of mashed potatoes and brown gravey. I absolutely hate garlic mashed, asked server if they are garlic mashed, she didn't know so she asked the cook, he told her yes they are,she asked if I would like fries instead,I told her no thank you. If i wanted fries i would have gone to burgeville. The fried chicken was over cooked, breading was flavorless, the chicken wing, was no bigger than my little finger, and the chicken leg was no bigger than my middle finger, the thigh piece was small, all the chicken was dried out.Took breast piece home to dog. Will see if she eats it. The green beans were canned and getting mushy. Dinner was served with no bread. This was the worst dinner I ever ate. I have had better chicken at a convience store. Been in the food service industry for nearly 40 years, as a owner and manager of restaurants. That dinner should not have been served,, and sent directly to garbage can.Almost $ 23.00 for that meal, I paid $ 11.00 for a 3 piece. and mashed, gravey and biscuit at KFC. That was a decent meal. We drove from Vancouver. Don't waste your time, money and taste buds...

I had such high hopes, I had been waiting for opening day for so long, hoping it would be as good as it once was , granted today is opening day my reservation was at 6:30 with the restaurant opening at four, our server was friendly but you could tell still learning, it is a process though. Drinks were good order two appetizers fried brussel sprouts with bacon and a maple glaze. The glaze was super yummy. But no bacon. Fried brussels usually have a crisp, these did not but they were made better with the glaze. For entree I was going to order one of the pasta dishes but was informed pasta was 86'd on opening day and hour and a half after opening. Ok no big it happens, so I then ordered the chicken breast with mushrooms, asparagus, sun dried tomatoes and butternut squash and potatoes. No sundried tomatoes, just cherry tomatoes cooked till they split, no asparagus,no squash, no mushrooms,no chicken breast instead I got a chicken leg on mash potatoes that tasted like they were instant mash I took a picture. And it was 32 dollars for that entree. I sent it back and was so sad, I really really wanted it to be good. They took the entree off as I did not eat it and I left . Maybe I'll give it another go in a few months after the kinks have been worked out. As a server I will say this. The last person to handle the food before it reaches the customer is us. We need to make sure it's right and appealing to our guest . Servers do not be afraid to inform your cooks of a mess up we deal with...
