Typically, I donât write negative reviews. However, this one has been bothering me all week long. I went through the drive thru around 730 on Wednesday morning. When the employee greeted me, I asked how she was doing today, when she responded, I proceeded with my order. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and a large unsweetened tea. I understand that when you go through a drive-through you need to just order and not mess around as you need to keep the line moving. However, before I could even order my tea, the woman responded with âis that it ?âI said,â no may I also please have an unsweetened iced tea?âas soon as I said that, again I got âis that it!â I said yes, and then proceeded on in the line. I got to the second window, and the woman asked me what I had ordered. I told her it was a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and an unsweetened iced tea. She responded with asking â hash-browns or no? â I told her no just the sandwich and iced tea. She handed me my tea and shut the window. Upon returning she open, the window, handed me a bag, and I was on my. I did stop in the parking lot to look over my order as I have received the wrong order there before. Inside the bag was some sort of sausage McMuffin. I went back through the drive-through and explain to them that I received the wrong with her. I was told to come to the second window. At the second window, the woman proceeded to scold me telling me that she always repeats back the order, and I told her that that was my order! I would love it if there is audio recordings at the drive-through, I would love to see where she asked me if that was my order. Of course there is a .01 chance that I am wrong. However, you donât treat people like that, especially in the service industry. It is just plain rude! Today I was on my way to Safeway and typically I stop by McDonaldâs and get an unsweetened iced tea to take into Safeway with me. In fact, I stop and get ice tea probably three times a week. Many times Iâll grab something else with it just to make the trip worthwhile. But today I just canât give them my business if thatâs the way theyâre going to treat people. Itâs just simply not OK to be that rude. So I happily went over to Carlâs Jr. and paid three times the amount for my ice tea and kindness. McDonaldâs. I came in to the lobby to order and walked up to the counter. There is a barricade that blocks all but about a foot in front of the 2 registers. The young clerk glanced at me, said nothing, didn't smile, and went back to watching another worker fiddle with a printer or something at another counter. I then read the barrier that said to order with the app or the kiosk. I went to the kiosk to order. I hate ordering thru the kiosk because it is nearly impossible to customize your order. I placed my order and AS INSTRUCTED went to the counter to pay. At this point there is the clerk at the counter and another clerk both watching the worker mess with the printer. Not one acknowledged me. I finally walked over by the fascinating printer and asked if anyone wanted my money. The 2nd clerk finally came over to take it. By that time I was so mad that I took my money and walked out.
If you are going to have a business perhaps you should inform your staff that they need to acknowledge your customers. Perhaps smile. Perhaps welcome them. When someone is obviously not seeing the sign (my bad, I was on auto pilot as I hate to use the kiosk) perhaps you could politely tell them what steps need to be taken.
If you don't intend to provide service in the building, close the building and just have the drive thru. They at least usually acknowledge you so that you know when to tell them your order.

Placed order again and days we were in space 3 but we weren't. Was waiting for someone to come out so I could tell them space 3 was actually me. After 15 or so minutes I called restaurant and got ahold of a young lady. I told her who I was and she's started telling me everything I did wrong and she should be able to bring the food to me, etc, etc,etc. I finally got her to stop and I asked how I would be able to get the food and she said I needed to come to the door and ask for it. I asked where I would have found these insurrections and she started telling me that I should of come to the door, etc , etc ,etc. I finally was about to ask her to not keep explaining this to me because I am sure I am not the only one who has had this issue, then she went off soon. I told her please stop telling me everything and I went to the door to get my food. They came to the door to see who I was and got my food. It was for two exact orders and she said I had ordered twice. I got it and walked away because I knew she was going to tell me everything I did wrong again. Please just put a sign up in your window that tells people sitting in the parking lot but not able to park in spot 3 or 4 what to do.
