Eggholic - Indian Street Food — Restaurant in Woodlawn

Today was our first time trying this place with an odd name for Indian Food, but it didn't disappoint! We started out with two orders of Chai, that were delivered to the table nice and hot! We got the Dahi Puri (10/order) as a starter to share, and liked the crispness of the puri, the cold, sweet/sourness of the yogurt, the sweet/sourness of the drizzle of tamarind(?) chutney, and the spiciness of green chilli. It burst pleasantly in the mouth. My Husband got the Raj Da Chicken Kabob. I got the Holic Chicken Kabob. They each come with 6 generous pieces of spicy, flavorful, boneless chicken, on a bed of turmeric(?) Basmati rice, with crisp slices of red onion, and a tangy, yogurt sauce, on the side. It was so delicious; and plentiful; that we each brought home half our rice, and 3 pieces of chicken; to be sampled again for relived deliciousness! At present, this location doesn't offer Indian Sweets such as Kulfi, or Gulab Jamun, so after dinner was only slightly disappointing; but we intend to return; with family and...

Finally we have some delicious food in town. This place is amazing. We tried Hum Tum (egg item), jam cheese sandwich and Holic chicken kabab. All three items were delicious. The sandwich brought back childhood memories. Flavors for the egg dish and chicken were very authentic and different. All items reminded me of india.

friendly staff. Loved the theme and decor was fun and relaxing. Restaurant is very clean and neat. The staff ensured tables were cleaned immediately after customers leaves and were very happy to assist us immediately.

The Owner and head chef both are very friendly and nice. I definitely appreciated both of them taking time to come and speak to us. They ensured we liked our food since we initially ordered surati gotalo but chef suggested to try Hum Tum and we are so glad that he made that suggestion. We would have never tried it out since we didn’t know what it was.

I went to this restaurant today for the first time and I had a bizarre experience. When I went to register to place the order, the gentleman on the other side told us that we can only order certain sandwiches. We went there at around 6:30 pm approximately and the restaurant open till 10pm. However I placed order for 2 sandwiches and after sometimes we noticed table next to us had got the same food from the menu that we intended to order at first place. Then I asked the cashier gentleman again about ordering that same food but he said they’re out of that food. I thought probably I wasn’t naming the item right. Therefore I placed order from Uber eats. And they prepared the food but when went to pick up the order the gentleman refused to give me the order and cancel the Uber eats order. I was stunned in shock and thinking had I ever have this experience in my life, that too infront of my family.

I would have 0 star for that very inappropriate service. Never...
