Came in at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Not from around the area but this place was close to where I was staying. Walked in and saw the bar was decently packed but I decided to sit at a table and not the bar. Not knowing where to go I asked one of the bartenders where to go to be seated and he pointed and said "hostess over there". Once I was seated it took around 10 minutes for the server to come to me then another 10 just for myself to get a drink from the bar and my friend to get a coke. We then placed an order for an appetizer. That came out in about 20 minutes. The crab pretzel itself was very good. However while waiting the environment itself was showing to be more and more unprofessional. Bartenders were dancing, on their phones and talking amongst themselves with their back to the patrons. The music was so loud I couldn't hear my friend speaking who was directly infront of me. And my server kept disappearing. After dropping off the appetizer she disappeared. My friend and I both had nothing to drink and by this point between the music and lack of service we decided to just go somewhere else. We kept looking around looking for our server but she was no where to be found. After waiting near 30 minutes for her to reappear we asked for the check and she then disappeared with my card for 15 minutes. She had only one other table. Finally get the check to see that 18% tip is added to the charge. As someone who serves I know you live off tips however I also know you need to work for the tip and tip is based off service. 18% included is absolutely ridiculous.$40 for one crab pretzel and a single spiked lemonade and coke with terrible service is ridiculous. Will not be returning and will be letting my friends in the area to know not...
Read moreWent to loafers to get some drinks with a friend. I walk to the door and was stopped by a security guard asking for an ID I politely showed him my ID then continued to walk towards the door where I was stopped by a guy with no uniform on or any type of affiliation with the company claiming that there was a $5 entry fee! No problem however I was not carrying cash on me at that moment I told him my friend was inside and I would grab it from her and bring it back out I walked past him while another security guard was sitting outside watching everything go down. As I opened the door the guy in the jacket pushed the door closed on my leg and would not let me in the restaurant or let my leg out I told him to let go of the door so I could get my leg out “ he responded i don’t know what’s up with you females tonight, your being disrespectful” I said how am I being disrespectful when your the one shutting me in the door over $5 that I told you I would get. I ended up calling my friend inside and she informed me that neither her or her other friend payed to get in so I know that these “security” were scamming and randomly choosing who they wanted to scam. However they picked the wrong one I live 5 minutes from loafers and visit very often and have NEVER been charged an entry fee I also looked on the company’s website and seen no listing of an event going on. I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN AND WILL NEVER REFER THIS PLACE TO FRIENDS ! if I could give no starts I would get some professional security guards not ones that sit on their phones and hangout like they are selling drugs and maybe this wouldn’t...
Read moreLoafers have been on route 40 for a very long time but now I think it’s time to pack it up the food to a horrible and the drinks were even worse. Me and my wife we wanted to do something late after work on a Friday night so we decided hey let’s go to loafers haven’t been there in a few years after we got our food And drinks we quickly remembered why all we ordered was a sampler. I had a beer and she ordered an old-fashioned, which was horrible so we sent that old-fashioned back then she decided to order and lemon drop people beware they water down the liquor to make it stretch. The lemon drop had no ice in it, but you can clearly tell that water was in it. It was not strong at all and we all know how strong tequila is so she used tequila for her lemon drop instead of vodka and it was watered down And don’t get me started on the fake old-fashioned that the bartender clearly do not know how to make first they wanted to Use Jamison for an old-fashioned and then they wanted to use makers mark for an old-fashioned if You’re a true bartender that you know none of those whiskeys go into an old-fashioned here’s the ingredients
