i have loved the hub for several years now, but unfortunately it has become clear to me and some others that there must be some sort of unsanitary practices and/or mishandling of food by the staff in recent months. to note: neither me nor anybody i have talked to about this have sensitive stomachs. i ate wings with some friends here in august and experienced a lot of gastro distress, but did not think anything of it at the time. i proceeded to eat at the hub 3 more times in the following 4 months, ordering different foods with different people each time and also experiencing lots of gastro distress within 24 hours of each time. the last time i ate here, 2 weeks ago, i experienced another bout of this gastro distress and finally put the dots together. i was ONLY having these very upset stomach episodes within a day of eating at the hub. i asked everyone that i had gone to the hub with in these last few months if they experienced the same thing, and sure enough almost all of them confirmed that they had some sort of upset stomach and diarrhea following eating at the hub. this is unusual for any of us, considering that we all regularly eat a wide variety of cuisines, including heavily spiced foods, with no gastro consequences. i ask that management take a good look at their food safety practices and make sure that staff are adhering to them more strictly to make sure that no one...
Read moreTheir food is okay but the wait time is INSANE. There should be absolutely no way I had to wait almost 35 min for some simple Teriyaki Chicken that is already prepared. Other places that specialize in Teriyaki style food (Quickway and Sarku) will have you in and out within 10-15 minutes MAX, even if its busy. They have no sense of urgency in getting people their food even when you let them know you've been there for quite some time, to the point that several people who ordered AFTER you will get their food BEFORE you. Last time I ordered here, I was there about 20 minutes waiting patiently since it was busy and when I asked about my food they told me they forgot to make my chicken teriyaki. So I had to wait ANOTHER 15 minutes while the cook stared off into space occasionally flipping and cooking the food. To make it worse, they almost put fried rice when I asked for white rice and they did not even put my order in the front to be take care of first...I was going to have to wait behind ANOTHER set of people that ordered AFTER me. They only moved it to the front because I asked a out my order yet again and said I was about to be late getting back to work. I really only dined here for the convenience of it being near my old job. If you plan to dine here, either order ahead of time ($1.50 charge just to order online) or be prepared to wait at least 30 min...
Read moreThe Hub Asian Food Hall has been on my go to list FOREVER now. We finally had a kid free night, so we decided to stop here. And, it did not disappoint. There is a wide variety of options in the Hub as well as a sit-down Hot Pot restaurant if you want to do that. We choose the fast casual because I love eating variety.
We ordered the K bimpbamp and their Ganham style chicken wings from BBQ Chicken. And, we ordered a Potato Mozz Sausage on a stick from SSongs Hotdogs, a cookies and cream mochi donut, and Green Tea Icecream with redbeans from Mango Mango.
Everything was delicious 😋! Wings had the perfect crisp breading and flavor on the wings. The bimpbamp was delicious and full of flavor, and it's a large bowl, so I ended up having it for lunch the next day also. The potato mozz sausage is an all beef hotdog, and it was kinda hard to eat but was delicious, and we would order again!
The dessert was delicious, and we would definitely come back with our toddler. It's a kid friendly location. The green tea ice cream was so good. Heads up, the red bean is not ice cream, which we thought. They are actually beans. Honestly, it may be weird, but it was a really good mix. It's not too sweet and just tasted fresh.
I recommend coming with picky eaters as they are a lot of choices, family, friends, and kids. Anyone honestly. It has...
