110720 New China Kitchen Woodward Ave Woodridge Heard how great this place was an the app Nextdoor so I had to try it. First unfortunately and I've had this with other Chinese style restaurants the person on the phone is very impatient and on the verge of being rude. I understand they are busy but hire someone to answer the phone vs doing everything. I understand that was a busy Saturday but not everybody knows everything about Chinese food I ordered Beef with vegetable Cantonese Chow mein And Beef fried rice Egg rolls

I'll admit the portions were large with both the rice and with the chow mein. Sadly that was the best of it. The beef fried rice had strips of beef in it with very little to no flavor along with boring flavored brown colored rice. I saw nothing else in it. The Cantonese chow mein, the noodles were just spaghetti noodles with their version of Cantonese sauce or flavoring. Sadly the noodle was the most flavorful part of the whole meal. The beef again flat strips was tender but lacking in flavor.  The vegetables the small amounts that were added were rubbery and no flavor and mostly sprouts. Egg Rolls Unfortunately they were fried in something that was fishy which made them smell and taste fishy I was so disappointed with all the great reviews this place had and the only thing going for it was it was large portion sizes. My husband and I have gone to New Chinese Kitchen since 2002! Driving all the way from Plainfield, Crest Hill, Lockport & Bolinbrook depending on where we were living at the time. It's always been our favorite Chinese restaurant! The food was always phenomenal! Was. That is until it recently changed under new management/ownership. We've gone twice since it went under new ownership and not only have they cut down how much food they give you but the food it's self has become down right HORRIBLE! Tonight it was so bad we couldn't even finish our food. I threw my whole order in the garbage because that's exactly what it tasted like! The chicken was just chunks of fat! The fried rice, sweet n sour sauce & beef teriyaki were just disgusting! And my husbands favorite dish Generals Chicken (which New Chinese Kitchen made better than any other Chinese restaurant we've ever been to) was completely different for the worse and my husband hated it! It's so sad because it use to be the best little hole in a wall Chinese restaurant ever, we loved it and we've gone there for 15 years! We have always told everyone we knew about New Chinese Kitchen and we got several people hooked on them as well. Now we'll never go...

First Time Coming To This Place They Were Kind And Generous To Me And My Girlfriend , Than After That It Seems To Us That EveryTime We Got Food From Here They Purposely Gets Our Order Wrong And We Never Complained About It We’ll Ask For The Correct Thing And Keep It Moving , Keep in Mind EveryTime We Spend $40 The Same Exact Order...So Our Last Time Visiting They Got The Order Wrong Again For The 6th Time And We Ask For Our Money Back And The Lady Who Works There Was Very Rude And Racist , She Told Us “No” & “Who gonna Pay For The Food?” And She’s Going To “Call The Police” And She Insisted On My Kind Of People (Black People) “To Not Come Back” Because Our Business Is Not Welcomed There. But Over All Their Food Is Good Which Is Why I Continuously Went Back And Tried To Be Patient With Them. Over All If You’re A Black Make It A Onetime...
