The Olde Towne Restaurant — Restaurant in Woodsboro

I have been coming here off and on with my family for a long time and I used to love coming here, I have noticed the last few times that the service has gone down hill and that's disappointing in how we used to love coming here, yesterday I came in with my wife, my son, and my in-laws and from start to finish it was horrendous and probably will never be back, we got our food and my wife got the wrong food, it happens and nobody's perfect, however my sons food never came out and the waitress said someone else got it, don't know if I believe her but okay, he got the popcorn chicken with the fries, then his food comes out a few minutes later and his food was very cold, I checked his chicken and the center of it was still cold, meanwhile my wife got her food and she was supposed to get a hot turkey sandwich with gravy and got basically a gravy sandwich and while were there the employees were arguing in the back in the kitchen area and that's not an atmosphere I want my family to be around. Eventually got my sons food but had to feed him our food and wasn't hungry when he got his so we had to take it home and heat it up in a microwave later, It's sad to say I won't be back here for...

Not sure if this was an "off" day or what as I have eaten at Olde Towne numerous times and have recommended it and taken others in the past. I was busy at work so I ordered lunch for pickup. I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar and a cup of baked potato soup. According to the menu, the salad should have been around $10 and the soup should have been around $4. They told me the order would be ready within 10 minutes and I promptly walked over. When I picked it up, the order came to $18 and some change. Not a huge deal as I understand prices change. When I opened up the salad the lettuce was drenched in Caesar dressing. It did have a generous portion of sliced chicken which was great but just too much dressing and the lettuce was pretty wilted. The "cup" of soup came in a small container with a lid and there were probably about 4 tbsp of soup in there. The "cream/potato" portion of the soup had no taste and it was like it had been made with cornstarch. There were several pieces of bacon in, but otherwise the soup was tasteless. Pretty...

While this place looked amazing… we were completely ignored upon entering. Communication is key here … as someone who worked in food service, communication to customers waiting is of the utmost importance. We waited for over 30 minutes. There were two to three tables that were cleaned and ready but No one communicated “ hey, we are slammed… we will get you all seated soon” there was an elderly gentleman standing… a smaller party behind us that could have been seated…. I understand about keeping certain tables open. But when a restaurant is slammed you got to get people seated!! Also bussers and runners should be running to clear as quickly as possible… a host needs to acknowledge those coming in and checking in on how many to a party is standing in the line which was out the door. Furthermore, when I go up and say “ hey, I know you are slammed, but is there any way to get some of these people seated out here?!” I get snapped at by server. Definitely unfortunate because this place looks like it has...
