If you're looking for a family-friendly dining experience with amazing food, look no further than Bucks – a true gem in the heart of the community! This spot effortlessly combines great eats with fun, offering an ever-changing scavenger hunt for kids that keeps little ones entertained while you enjoy your meal. It's a place that truly caters to everyone, making it the perfect destination for a family outing.
The food at Bucks is nothing short of phenomenal. For those who love a good burger, their smash burgers are a must-try, perfectly cooked with a crispy edge and juicy center. I can't resist pairing mine with their irresistible sweet potato fries – crispy, flavorful, and the perfect side. And let’s not forget the Oreo shakes, which are decadent, creamy, and the ultimate treat. My husband swears by their chicken tenders, which are always crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and my son can never decide between the pizza, tenders, burgers, and pasta. But no matter what he chooses, you can bet he’s also ordering an Oreo shake to wash it all down!
What truly sets Bucks apart, though, is the service. Every visit feels like catching up with old friends. The staff is consistently warm, welcoming, and friendly, and it’s always a pleasure to see the same familiar faces each week. Their attention to detail and commitment to creating a memorable experience is evident, and it’s no wonder that we keep coming back for more.
Bucks has become a weekly highlight for our family, and I couldn't recommend it more. Whether you're here for the food, the fun, or the fantastic service, this place checks...
Read moreI've driven by Bucks many times and always wanted to try it but only now finally got around to doing so. The decor was great and our seven year old boy LOVED searching all over the restaurant looking at all the crazy items and checking them off the list they include on the kids menu. I give the decor five stars for a unique, fun, family place. Give the decorator a bonus! But our food was bad . . . consistently across all our items. Worst we've had in all the restaurants we've tried since moving to the RWC/Woodside area a few years ago. My wife couldn't eat more than a few bites of her pumpkin pancakes due to them being very sour and had to send them back. They made her a replacement item (burger) but it wasn't ready until everyone else was done so we had to get it to go. $18 is a lot for a to go burger. My mother ate but didn't love her crab melt (at $25). I accidentally ordered a veggie burger thinking it was a normal burger and it was terrible (at $20). I tasted my sons regular meat burger and it was okay. The fries were okay. Also note that the place is very expensive. The typical price around the area, even for nice diners with great food, is ~$10-15 for a breakfast or lunch. This place is $20+. I think this place needs a new head cook and it could easily be turned around as it has great potential. Revamp the menu, make all the food properly, and subtract $5 from...
Read moreGosh, I never expected my old friend Buck's would let its standards collapse under the weight of the pandemic, but lunch on Saturday was pretty wretched. "Fried chicken sando" was tiny and tasteless. About halfway through my $15 sandwich I realized I'd have been much better off going to Chick-Fil-A and paying one-third the price for a better meal. Fries were cold. A friend who had the same thing at our table agreed. The chinese chicken salad was described as "pulled chicken" but was actually big chunks of big, tough chicken. The dressing was mostly balsamic vinegar and the so-called Napa cabbage was not Napa cabbage but seemed to come straight from a bag. The maple brussels sprouts were tough and over-cooked. The only decent thing we had was the mushroom reuben, which was actually plump and well-made. Lunch for 4 without alcohol was $112 with tip! No disrespect intended to the MacNiven kids who've taken over from their father, the long-time owner, but the place just isn't what it used to be -- not by a long shot -- based on this meal. I can't completely give up Buck's because it's such a Woodside staple, but boy have my expectations been lowered. Right now I think it's a beloved restaurant that has lost its way in...
