Creekside Inn — Restaurant in Woodstown

To whom it may concern,

Being an old folk, I do not go on the computer ever. My grandson set this up for me because I can't stop talking about my experience the other night at your establishment. He said this is a good way to pass along my thoughts, so here they are:

Since we've been retired, my wife and I enjoy going to different higher end restaurants in the area. Actually, she enjoys it and I just tag along. We have dined at your establishment a few times before and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. However, it was the interaction with your bartender that night that has inspired me to write to you. The young lady's name was Kerry and what an absolute delight she was to meet. Going to higher end restaurant as much as we have, you rarely find such a personable and friendly bartender as the one you have in Kerry. We talked like we knew each other for years. She talked about her family and let us talk about our grandkids. Which is a big plus for people our age. We talked about music as well. Just a lovely and funny conversation. And you could tell that she was just as engaging to every person at the bar, right down the line. She also made an excellent Manhattan. If you could pass along our thanks to Kerry from Mickey and Ellen, we would appreciate it. You will definitely see us a lot more...

UPDTAE - I bet you would prefer a phone call than an another bad review - we would have preferred edible food then $70 worth of garbage. A phone call can’t resolve bad food. Wouldn’t be worth the gas to drive back. If that sugar bacon burger is a top seller, I would hate to experience your worst items. It was literally the worst take out food ever!!!!!! Do better and you would get better reviews.

Ordered takeout lunch with the hubby. Sugar bacon burger is horrible. So weird. It’s way over cooked, the bun is stale, the onion frizzles are soggy, the fries are ice cold, and there is zero sweet taste at all to this burger or bacon…. instead there is a dark, powdery taste. Terrible!!!! Bacon seemed like it was 5 days old. Overdone yet rubbery. And black!!!!! Pitch black! Gross! Threw it out after one bite and dissecting it to see what the hell you did to it. What a waste of money. And your prices are very high for what is the equivalent to diner food. Hubby said the rise and shine burger was just OK and not worth the cost....

I really want to give this one 5 stars because the food is awesome and esp because they have an ENTIRE gluten free menu! And honestly the service is usually fine however we have been a few times where we have had one waitress in particular that's just sub par - long waits for food, beverages, and checks and items/requests are often forgotten. Each time we've had her she mentions she loves kids and works with them but then puts steak knives and drinks in glasses (not the kids drinks) in front of them and then takes forever to get boxes and the check when the kids are clearly done and ready to go. I give a lot of grace because I used to work in service and know it's hard and everyone has bad days but this have been a consistent problems with this one server and it makes me hesitant to go because I don't want to get her again. If you don't have kids in your group, 10/10, even if you get this waitress, as the food and hopefully company are delightful enough waiting won't seem...
