My family and I have been coming here for years, and I'm now giving it a 2 star rating. But I just picked up some take out, and I was a bit disappointed. First, I ordered a regular potato pizza and the kid from the kitchen brought me out one and said, potato pizza, no scallions. So I told him that wasn't what I ordered. The hostess got me the scallions, which was fine. But I also ordered the Chicken Wellington. Which I've had a bunch of times before. It's always been good, but I've got to be honest, when I saw the portion size this time around, I was very disappointed. When I've ordered it in the past, it was always a good size portion. Very big and we'll worth the price. Enough for 2 people to share, which is why I ordered it to go. So my grandmother and I could share the dinner and my sister could eat the potato puzza. But now the portion size of the chicken wellington is so dinky small. It's barely enough for me to eat, never mind being able to share it with my grandmother. I really think that you should make the portion size back up to it's original larger portion. It's just not worth the money your paying for it. Especially when it doesn't come with a vegetable. Just mashed potatoes. I expect better the next time I bring my family back to eat. Oh yes, and please bring back the fettuccine chicken piselli, with a cheesy garlic bread. It was the best thing you had on the menu, and you should have never gotten rid of it.
Edit: since the restaurant has been under new ownership, the place has gone down considerably. Honestly, it's not even worth going to anymore. Mr. O'Connor was an astute businessman. He knew what it took to run a successful businesses. He knew exactly what worked and what didn't. Ever since he sold the business, it doesn't have the same feel, or the same commorodity. The menu is not as half as big as it used to be, what they do have for food is no longer worth the money. I mean, seriously, twelve dollars for a garden salad, and you only give 2 slices of cucumber, and 2 wedges of tomato? Back in the day, when I would buy a large garden salad, I would get at least 8 slices of cucumber, a handful of grape tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients. Now, not even worth the money. They used to have such a nice menu with a great variety of food. Now, it's a cheap paper menu, with a handful of food items, and what they have is so skimpy in portions, it's laughable at best. I used to love the multigrain rolls with the sesame seed. They were soft on the inside and just a little crusty on the outside. The rolls we got today were plain white, they were hard as a rock, and seemed like they were sitting too long in a warmer drawer. Seriously, where is the O'Bloomin Onion with the Zesty sauce, where's the smoked salmon appetizer, with the pickled onions, capers, and the horseradish creme sauce. Where's the Fettucini Chicken Piselli with the garlic bread, where's the Chicken Wellington Cordon Bleu'? These were some of your best items, and they're just gone.
The only thing that they have left that's still left is the Irish Potato Pizza. Looks like that's the only item I'll be getting for take out from now on. Everything else is just cutting corners, and disappointing 😞 It was also leader than dead for a Wednesday night. When Mr. O'Connor ran it, it was almost always busy. A far cry from what...

I knew OC's wouldn't be the same after Brendan and Claire sold it, but it fell way short. I ordered take out, it took the 45 minutes that they predicted to fill the order. I ordered a Cheeseburger with fries, calamari and 2 side salads. The salads were the best part of the meal. The produce was fresh and there was a good amount of veg with the lettuce. The blue cheese dressing was a little sweeter than I prefer. My husband didn't comment on the burger but they forgot the fries! The calamari was incredibly bland and served with cocktail sauce. Something I haven't seen before and didn't care for. The menu says the calamari is fried and topped herb, garlic, jalepenos, butter both tentacles and rings ( sic). The herb, garlic, jalepeno , butter and tentacles were missing. Rings , cocktail sauce and banana peppers in brine is how it was served. Also , while I waited for my order, there were 4 parties waiting to be seated. They waited a long time. There were plenty of open tables and and 3 servers at the desk. I will wait a few months before going back.perhaps they will have worked out the bugs, if they can remain open!

Great service, EXCELLENT specialty drinks menu and the fish and chips were just lovely. The chips had a nice crisp exterior and fluffy interior, they were just right. The fish had a beautiful coating not too crunchy, a really enjoyable texture. My husband had the ribs which he enjoyed thoroughly. It was overall a very pleasant experience. I'd give an extra star for the cocktails if I could ,the selection on 03Aug19 was outstanding. Glad we live in the neighborhood so we can go back and work our way through the list. Especially since we can have satisfying dish to go with it. My only regret is being too full for dessert. I love bread pudding and O'connor's is one of the few places that serves it. Thanks OC for a...
Read moreMy teen and I decided to eat out tonight and settled on O'Connor's simply because it was the next restaurant we saw. We almost didn't stop due to all the cars but figured we'd find out how long a wait before deciding. There was no wait, the place is huge inside. I particularly liked the amount of handicapped parking and the restaurant is handicapped friendly. The atmosphere reminded me of the Irish/British pubs I went to in England but with much more comfortable seating. My daughter could not get over how "cute" the place was or how adorable the owner is. I liked that it is very clean, obviously well run and well staffed. Our server was friendly, helpful and accomodating.
There was a good variety of food choices to choose from and can accomodate everyone from the burger crowd to those with a more sophisticated palate. There are gluten-free options, including a dessert, as well as vegetarian options and their drink menu is bigger than their dinner menu so even then, everyone can be accomodated. Prices were reasonable, good even when you consider the amount of food you get. I had to take half home with me. I had the chicken francaise which was flavorful, tender and well cooked. I was given two good size pieces of chicken, a large amount of mashed potatoes and just the right amount of a fresh vegetable medley that really was a medley of at least 5 different types of veg. The steak tip kabob my daughter had was, again, flavorful and cooked just the way she liked it. She had the loaded mash and I'm ordering it next time. Seeing what other patrons ordered has us determined to go back regularly so that we can try some of our favorites from across the pond as we believe we finally found a place that can provide some good Irish cooking.
One complaint I do have though is that I just didn't have any room for dessert and there were some mouthwatering choices. Guess I'll just have to order take away to try...
