Absolutely the WORST pizza place I have ever ordered from, and I eat out A LOT! We've been ordering food there every weekend for the past 3 months and 90% of the time I've had an issue! Our orders are always wrong, missing items, or rotten food! The manager they have there working nights named John is the worst employee I've ever had contact with! Last weekend we were missing a salad (that came with the steak tip dinner) and a piece of chocolate cake. I called them that night legitimately ten times at 845p and they refused to answer. When you see someone calling that many times, you think they'd answer, because there's obviously a problem, but no. They just ignored me. We've had to call SEVERAL times to have things delivered that were missing, or orders that were wrong, and they act like it's OUR fault that they can't do there job right! I called John the following weekend when we actually went to order from there again (ya our stupidity) and told him how we were missing the salad and chocolate cake from the previous weekend, and he said "you should've called us sooner". I explained to him that I called back right after receiving our order TEN TIMES and that no one answered, even though they hadn't closed yet. He then said "well, I'll give you the salad but not the cake". I asked him why (because we had paid for the cake!) To which he responded "because I don't believe you" I was absolutely stunned that a business was calling me a liar! So we gave him the exact date and total of the order, which he looked up and read back to us, in it's entirety, which inckuded a piece of chocolate cake. He then gave us the same answer, that he would only give us the salad. Like I'm going to try and steal a piece of chocolate cake! I dont even like chocolate cake, it was for my boyfriend, who paid for the "meal". He then said he would call the owner, Gigi and call me right back. Ten minutes go by and no call. So I called him back, at which time another employee answered and said he called the owner and she said the same thing. So, why couldn't he call me back and tell me that, like he assured me he would?! The funny part is, he spoke to the manager, and she gave the EXACT same deal he offered? Like seriously, what are the chances of that happening? Slim to none. So he never even called the owner. He then hung up on me (mins you I wasn't even being rude, as I was very taken back by the fact he had basically called me a liar (how incredibly inappropriate)!! So, our order finally came an hour later, without thenpiece of chocolate cake (which isn't that great anyway, btw). Tonight we ordered again (on accident, I thought I had called Village pizza but since they are right under each other, I accidentally called them). My bf got chicken and broccoli Alfredo, which was sour and curdled! So I called back again, and had the pleasure of speaking to John, the "manager" again. He asked what else we would like to eat instead and I explained to him my boyfriend was sick to his stomach and didn't want anything. So I asked for a refund and he said yes and then hung up the phone on me again! I'll be calling the owner myself, tomorrow. Do not eat here! Take my word for it, unless you want food poisoning too! Oh and I forgot to mention they doubled charged us for our order as well, so we're waiting for that to be refunded, a long with the Alfredo, but we're not...
Read moreI visited the location on Monday, April 29th and couldn't have been more disgusted, not with the place itself but the employee that worked the front. I called my order in around 10 minutes prior and told the employee that I was looking to get 10 Buffalo Chicken wings. When I arrived to the store and he informed me what the price was, I asked why it was so expensive as I saw on the website that it should be about $8.75. He insisted that I requested 15 wings over the phone and proceeded to argue with me, telling me that I was wrong in an extremely rude manner including calling me the N-word in the argument. The employee worked the front desk and was an African-American gentleman. As someone that has worked the customer service industry for years, I will be looking to speak with higher up managers about this. Additionally, the chicken wings were okay at best, lacking sauce that I remember the organization providing from years prior. Some seemed like they may have been sitting there for a couple hours which explains why he told me that my order will be ready in five minutes. Summary of the story, if you like to be treated like a peasant and talked down to, continue to order your food from Vernon Pizza. Read moreI honestly do not understand how this pizza restaurant could be so full of lies!! I've been ordering from them for years, and nothing less than a 9 to 10 dollar tip every time! I never order pick up it's always delivery. I called an hour later and they said they were waiting on me to pick it up. I politely told them I never order pick up due to no vehicle. She said she would bring it to me right away. I told her no thank you I did not want an hour old pizza.... soooo how about they show up 10 min later with the same pizza, only reheated in the oven after she told me she'd make me a fresh one. I have 2 toddlers. The pizza was so damn hard they couldn't eat it. So when I called she assured me it was fresh, lol ...ummm OK so that was a lie!!!!....I've reheated pizza in the oven b4 so i know how it taste, as well as knowing a pizza cannot be made in 10 min, cut and boxed, then delivered all in that 10 min time frame. DO BETTER VERNON PIZZA, DO BETTER!!! I don't appreciate being lied to after being loyal customers as well as a generous tippers. NEVER AGAIN! what a frickin joke this place.
