Poor, poor, poor customer service!!!
The attendant got my order wrong, saying "cod" when I ordered 2 combo orders of "CAT" fish fillets and 3 jumbo shrimp. When I called to let them know of the mistake, which she admitted that she said "Cod" fish, when I said "Cat" fish, she asked me to come back out in that terrible, flood warning, storm, bring the food, stating that their policy is that there could be no food replaced unless they received the original food returned (notice...she never apologized for her mistake).
As I was telling her that it would not be possible to come back out in the storm, one reason being that I am handicapped, she stopped our conversation, spoke to her colleague in the store and stated the words, "...yeah, but she's not listening to me...", referring to me. Her colleague got on the phone (male), would not address or answer the question I was in the middle of asking, and insisted that I give my name and number (which I did), with a promise of being contacted by one of the managers the following day.
The same night of the incident, I went on Brown's website and emailed them about my experience. There has been NO response.
No one has contacted me...it's been 2 days...

Read moreI am a natural born Chicagoan who has moved to another state. When I come home to visit, this is one of my stops while there.
The young lady that I experienced on this last visit has been there for a few years. She's great. Customer service is good.
What I found different this trip (June 2025) is the taste of the food. It was cooked well, nice and crispy, beautiful brown color, however, it tasted like the oil may have been changed. I can't be sure but the taste/aftertaste was just horrible.
I went thru the drive thru so can't comment on inside of the store.
I've been frequenting this Browns Chicken for the last, apprx 6 years, often 3-4 times/year (when I'm in town). I'll return in September 2025, but this will not be a stop on my food journey. It was that bad.
I do not recommend getting food from this place due to the downturn in the flavor of the food. Browns Chicken has been a staple in my life for 45 years. I'm sad about...
