Totally Tea — Restaurant in Worth Township

If I would’ve never gotten my receipt, I would not have noticed that they over charge you. I had walked up, the guy tapped in my order and I paid. However The large drink ($5.99) with boba (+$0.75) is how its displayed on the giant menu up top, but the register displayed $8.49 AND the screen automatically selected a tip of $1.12 so I paid $9.36 total. I told the guy the screen selected wrong and he refunded me the tip back. I look at my receipt afterwards and saw they charged me for a SECONDARY $0.75 . . . The guy explained its two scoops of boba in the brown sugar milk tea and I told him i only needed one. I never accepted the drink. I wasn’t satisfied with the secret charges and additions, so I had to ask three times for a refund. He kept asking me to just take the drink instead but I declined so I could get my refund. Make sure to check your receipts because this place just overcharged me even after I questioned the pricing. I paid $17.31 for two drinks. I ordered a slushie and the guy pointed out that they only come as a large- okay, fine. Why was I charged $1.50 extra for double boba when I did not request it? I also ordered an horchata milk tea, and did not request a specific size, however, I was charged $1.00 extra for a large and another $1.50 for double tapioca. I usually like to try places that are empty to try to drum up business for them, but I guess sometimes there’s a reason for it. The watermelon was just okay but the matcha was awful. It was hot matcha tea that they dropped ice onto. Zero sweetener. It was hot matcha soup with ice that melted right into it. For a “large” that’s in a small cup, you’re paying nearly $8 with taxes. That’s more than Starbucks at half the amount, for something that tastes far from yummy. Maybe it’s worth their revisiting the recipes and trying them out before putting them on the menu?
